DIRTY JOHN (Bravo) - The cable channel's true crime anthology series will move to sibling USA for its second season, due in 2020. (Deadline.com)
EYES OF THE DRAGON (Hulu, New!) - Stephen King's 1984 fantasy novel - which "takes place in fictional realm of Delain and tells the story of power and the path of two prince brothers" - is being eyed as a TV series at the streaming service. Seth Grahame-Smith is spearheading the Fox 21-based project with his KatzSmith partner David Katzenberg and Bill Haber, Roy Lee and Jon Berg also serving as executive producers. Michael Taylor and Jeff Vintar were behind a previous effort for Syfy in 2012. (Deadline.com)
HIGH FIDELITY (Hulu) - Da'Vine Joy Randolph and David Holmes have both joined the cast of the Nick Hornby adaptation. Randolph will play Cherise, who's "boisterous, likable, funny with an infectious energy - and thinks she knows everything." And Holmes is Simon, "sarcastic and cranky with an attractive quirkiness." NEW POPE, THE (HBO) - Sharon Stone and Marilyn Manson will both guest star in Paolo Sorrentino's follow-up series. No specifics about their roles were given. (@HBO)
SEE (Apple TV+) - Executive producers Jon Steinberg and Dan Shotz have signed a three-year overall deal with Fox 21 Television Studios. There they'll develop new series projects for the studio. (Deadline.com)
VAGRANT QUEEN (Syfy, New!) - Magdalene Visaggio and Jason Smith's Vault Comics series is heading to the small screen at the cable channel. Adriyan Rae is set to star in the 10-episode project, which "follows Elida from child queen to orphaned outcast, as she scavenges the treacherous corners of the galaxy, always one step ahead of the Republic government out to extinguish her bloodline." Tim Rozon also stars as Isaac with Paul du Toit as the menacing Commander Lazaro. Jem Garrard is behind the hour with Blue Ice Pictures' Lance Samuels and Daniel Iron as well as Vault Comics' F.J. DeSanto and Damian Wassel also executive producing. Production is slated to get underway in July in Cape Town, South Africa. (Deadline.com)
WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE (Syndication) - The syndicated game show staple will not return for the 2019-20 season, ending its 17-year run. (Variety.com)
