CHI, THE (Showtime) - Co-star Jason Mitchell has been released from the series following allegations of inappropriate behavior on the set of his Netflix movie "Desperados." Said report further indicates "the actor had previously been under scrutiny over an alleged inappropriate behavior situation on the show involving a female co-star, which had been resolved." Mitchell has likewise been dropped by his agency, UTA; and his management company, Authentic Talent & Literary Management. (Deadline.com)
FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER, THE (Disney+) - Kari Skogland has been tapped to helm the Anthony Mackie/Sebastian Stan-led drama, which is reportedly slated for six episodes due in August 2020. In addition, Daniel Bruhl and Emily Van Camp are in talks to reprise their roles of Zemo and Sharon Carter, respectively, from "Captain America: Civil War." (Deadline.com)
GOOD PEOPLE (A.K.A. UNTITLED CUMMINGS & DANIELS PROJECT) (Amazon) - Lisa Kudrow has signed on to star in and executive produce the half-hour comedy pilot from Lee Daniels and Whitney Cummings. She'll play Lynn Steele, "the university ombudsman, a tired, mercurial force of nature who finds herself being seen as out of touch by millennials, even though she has been a champion of women her entire career." HUMANS (AMC) - Co-creator Sam Vincent revealed on social media the series is being canceled after three seasons. (@smavincent)
PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS (Showtime) - Amy Madigan, Brent Spiner and Lin Shaye are set to recur on John Logan's follow-up series. Madigan will play Miss Adelaide Finnister, "the mother of the charismatic radio evangelist Sister Molly (Kerry Bishe)"; with Spiner as Ned Vanderhoff, "the Precinct Captain at the Hollenbeck police station in Boyle Heights - the boss of Tiago Vega (Daniel Zovatto) and Lewis Michener (Nathan Lane)"; and Shaye as Dottie Minter, "a friend and ally of Detective Lewis Michener (Lane)."
