STUDIO CITY, CA - SEPTEMBER 11, 2019 - As the season switches to Fall, people yearning for the autumnal activities that abound during this time of year. As the leaves change colors and drop from the trees and warm breezes give way to cool, crisp air, Hallmark Channel's annual "Fall Harvest" programming event returns with must-see Fall romances that will warm the heart.
From Saturday, September 21, through Saturday, October 19, five all-new, original movie premieres will let viewers immerse themselves in the sights, sounds and all the feels of Fall, making Hallmark Channel THE place for viewers to be all season long.
Also on tap are two special programs that are part of the network's Adoption Ever After initiative that raises awareness for pet adoption and celebrates the joys four-legged friends bring to our lives. First is "The Love of Dogs Benefit Concert" hosted by pet adoption expert Larissa Wohl ("Home & Family") featuring top country western artists, premiering Monday, October 14 (9:00 p.m. ET/PT), to raise funds for Pedigree Foundation as they strive to help the millions of shelter and rescue dogs across the country find the loving homes they so deserve. The contributions dogs make to our lives is front and center in the "2019 American Humane Hero Dog Awards." Co-hosted once again by bestselling author Beth Stern and James Denton ("Good Witch," "Desperate Housewives") and premiering Wednesday, October 23 (8 p.m. ET/PT), the star-studded night offers an emotional celebration of heroes on both ends of the leash and honors outstanding working dogs around the country.
As the days of Fall wane the most wonderful time of the year gets closer and this year Hallmark Channel celebrates the 10th anniversary of "Countdown to Christmas," the #1-rated programming event on television in Q4. Before the 24/7 merriment begins, the network offers viewers one final sneak-peek at the original movie premieres in store this holiday season with "2019 Countdown to Christmas Preview Special" hosted by the Queen of Christmas herself, Candace Cameron Bure ("Switched at Christmas," "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries"), premiering Saturday, October 19 (10:00 p.m. ET/PT).
