DANSON, FEY & CARLOCK SERIES (NBC) - Mike Cabellon is the latest addition to the Ted Danson-led comedy as Tommy, "the mayor's chief strategist." (Deadline.com)
DIE HART (A.K.A. ACTION SCENE) (Quibi) - John Travolta is set to star opposite Kevin Hart in the comedic action series, in which Hart plays "a fictionalized version of himself who's tired of being the comedic sidekick. He gets his wish when a famous director offers him his dream - to be a leading man action star - but there's a catch: Kevin must first train at the world's greatest action star school, run by a lunatic (Travolta)." Eric Appel is directing from a script by Tripper Clancy and Derek Kolstad with Laugh Out Loud's Hart, Candice Wilson, Bryan Smiley and Jeff Clanagan executive producing. (Deadline.com)
FAZE UP (Quibi, New!) - The upcoming streaming service has landed a new reality competition series in which gamers compete for the chance to join top esports team FaZe Clan. In the project, "viewers submit videos showing off their gaming skills and making the case to join the team. Then Quibi subscribers will vote to determine six finalists, who will travel to FaZe Clan's HQ to compete in a series of real-life and gaming challenges." Nathan Gaines, Dennis Lisberger, Mike Basone, Charles Segars and showrunner Harrison Nalévansky are the executive producers for Whistle with William Silva Reddington directing. (Variety.com)
GHOSTS (CBS) - Joe Port and Joe Wiseman's domestic take on the recent British comedy series is heading to pilot at the Eye. BBC Studios, CBS Television Studios, Lionsgate Television and Monumental Television are all behind the single-camera project, in which a struggling young couple's dreams come true when they inherit a beautiful country house, only to find it's both falling apart and inhabited by many of the deceased previous residents. Mathew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond, Martha Howe-Douglas, Alison Carpenter, Debra Hayward, Alison Owen and Angie Stephenson will likewise executive produce. GILDED AGE, THE (HBO) - Jeanne Tripplehorn is slated to recur on the period drama as Sylvia Chamberlain, "a tall and beautiful enigmatic figure. A genuine expert in the creative arts and a great art collector, she is entirely excluded from high society because of her suspected past until Marian is kind to her." (Deadline.com)
GREAT, THE (Hulu) - Sebastian De Souza has been cast in the Elle Fanning/Nicholas Hoult-led drama as Leo, "a charming, witty, country aristocrat who falls in love with Catherine (Fanning)." (Deadline.com)
PLEASE HOLD FOR FRANKIE WOLFE (CBS, New!) - Max Mutchnick and David Kohan have scored a pilot order from the Eye for a new multi-camera comedy about Frankie Wolfe, "an unfiltered, irreverent, powerful businesswoman with no personal life. When Frankie's impossibly fragile and neurotic sister, Tommie, abandons Quincy - an incredibly bright inner-city child who Tommie attempted to foster - Frankie is faced with the choice of taking him in or casting him back out. Can these two lonely, damaged people find the love and companionship that has eluded them their whole lives?" Universal Television is producing. (Deadline.com)
RAY DONOVAN (Showtime) - The pay channel has canceled its veteran drama after seven seasons. "After seven incredible seasons, Ray Donovan has concluded its run on Showtime," the network said in a statement. "We are proud that the series ended amid such strong viewership and on such a powerful note. Our deepest thanks go to Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight, showrunner David Hollander and the entire cast and crew, past and present, for their dedicated work." (Deadline.com)
STATION ELEVEN (HBO Max) - Danielle Deadwyler will recur on the upcoming drama as Miranda Carroll, "the author of the titular graphic novel and ex-wife of Arthur Leander (Gael García Bernal) who finds herself trapped in Malaysia as a flu pandemic sweeps the globe." (Variety.com)
THREE OF US, THE (CBS) - The Frank Pines-penned comedy - about adult siblings who are children of divorce must circle the wagons when their sister's husband unexpectedly announces he wants to call it quits on their marriage - has received a pilot order from the network. The multi-camera project comes from CBS Television Studios-based Fulwell 73 Productions with Ben Winston, Jeff Grosvenor and James Corden also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED CORINNE KINGSBURY PROJECT (CBS) - Corinne Kingsbury's multi-camera comedy has been ordered to pilot at the network. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are now co-writing the project alongside Kingsbury, in which when Penelope's career takes off at exactly the same time as her husband's, they call on Penelope's young single mom, Georgia, to help raise their son, but what they find is Georgia needs more raising than their kid. Aaron Kaplan, Dana Honor and Wendi Trilling will also executive produce for CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED TRACY OLIVER PROJECT (Amazon) - Tyler Lepley has been cast in the upcoming comedy series as Ian, "a sexy chef with an artsy/free spirit, Ian is Camille's ex-boyfriend who has recently returned to Harlem. Ian is the rare guy you'd choose to both marry and have sex with." (Deadline.com)
WAYS & MEANS (CBS, New!) - Patrick Dempsey is set to star in a new drama at the Eye about "a powerful congressional leader (Dempsey) who has lost faith in politics. He finds himself working secretly with an idealistic young congresswoman from the opposing party to subvert the hopelessly gridlocked system he helped create; together, they'll attempt to save American politics - if they don't get caught." The project, previously known as "The Whip," comes from writers Ed Redlich and Mike Murphy. CBS Television Studios is behind the hour with Dempsey; PatMa Productions' Nina Tassler and Denise Di Novi; and 3 Arts Entertainment's Tom Lassally likewise executive producing. Dempsey's manager, Joannie Burstein, serves as co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
WHITE STORK (Netflix, New!) - Tom Hiddleston is set to star in a 10-episode political thriller series at the streaming service in which "when James Cooper (Hiddleston) is selected to run for a seat in parliament, Asher Millan is sent to vet him for primetime. But she quickly uncovers potentially damaging secrets buried deep in James' past. Secrets that will threaten to blow everything apart - his career, his marriage, even the powerful people backing his campaign." Writer Christopher Dunlop and director Kristoffer Nyholm are behind the project, originally known as "Spadehead." Eleven Film is producing. (Deadline.com)
