ALL THE SINGLE LADIES (HBO Max, New!) - Connie Britton is developing a documentary series for the upcoming streaming service inspired by Rebecca Traister's best-selling book of the same name, subtitled "Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation," which "examines how unmarried women have been a societal force over the history of the United States." Britton will also appear on camera in the project as well as executive produce alongside Traister, Abby Ex and Katie King via her Deep Blue Productions banner. (THR.com)
BURYING PLACE, THE (AMC, New!) - Writer Kelly Masterson and director David Semel are looking to bring Brian Freeman's novel to the small screen at the cable channel. The project "is set in the haunting North Country of Minnesota, where a baby vanishes from her lakeside home. That same night, a rookie policewoman stumbles onto a serial killer. Against a ticking clock, Detective Jonathan Stride, haunted by demons of his own, leads fellow Detectives Serena Dial and Maggie Bei as they struggle to unravel the seemingly unrelated mysteries in a suspenseful game of cat and mouse." Angela Bromstad and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor will also executive produce for AMC Studios. (Deadline.com)
LESLYE HEADLAND STAR WARS PROJECT (Disney+, New!) - "Russian Doll" co-creator Leslye Headland has been tapped to spearhead a new "Star Wars" project for the streaming service billed as "a female-centric series that takes place in a different part of the "Star Wars" timeline than other projects." She'll write and executive produce the series, which is currently staffing writers. (Variety.com)
LEVERAGE (IMDb TV, New!) - Noah Wyle is set to topline a sequel to the 2008-12 series - "a fresh update of the original concept, about reformed crooks using their unique skills to right corporate and governmental injustices inflicted on common citizens" - for Amazon's free, ad-supported streaming service. Beth Riesgraf (Parker), Gina Bellman (Sophie Devereaux), Christian Kane (Eliot Spencer) and Aldis Hodge (Alec Hardison) are expected to reprise their roles for the project, while Timothy Hutton (Nate Ford), who recently faced sexual assault allegations, will not return. Wyle, who has a one-year deal, will also direct two of the planned 13 episodes. Dean Devlin, Marc Roskin, Rachel Olschan-Wilson and Kate Rorick as well as original series co-creators John Rogers and Chris Downey are the executive producers for Electric Entertainment and Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY, THE (Hulu) - The network's Trenton Lee Stewart adaptation has cast Kristen Schaal as Number Two, "one Mr. Benedict's (Tony Hale) loyal lieutenants"; MaameYaa Boafo as Rhonda, "Mr. Benedict's other trusted lieutenant"; Ryan Hurst as Milligan, "a deadpan proctor with the Mysterious Benedict Society"; Gia Sandhu as Ms. Perumal, "Reynie's tutor at the orphanage"; Mystic Inscho as Reynie Muldoon, "a boy with exceptional intelligence - but he is genuinely humble"; Emmy DeOliveira as Kate Weatherall, "a resourceful, athletic kid"; Seth Carr as George "Sticky" Washington, "a slight kid who is deeply loyal"; and Marta Timofeeva as Constance Contraire, "a tiny, TINY girl with a huge chip on her shoulder." (Deadline.com)
SUCCESSION (HBO) - The lead actors of the Emmy-winning drama have scored major pay raises ahead of the show's third season. Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen and Nicholas Braun will reportedly earn roughly $300,000 to $350,000 per episode; while Brian Cox is "said to have landed at a bigger figure than the rest." All are bumps from their previously sub-$100,000 an episode salaries. (THR.com)
