MILLION LITTLE THINGS, A (ABC) - Andrea Savage will recur on the current season as Dr. Stacy, "a no-nonsense radio personality therapist who will tell you exactly how you should live your life in five-minute doses." Savage originated the role via voiceover in a 2018 episode. (Deadline.com)
MOUND, THE (OWN, New!) - Munirah Safiyah Jones is developing an animated series at the cable channel "is set in the 1980s in the Orange Mound neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee, which is the first Black neighborhood in American history built by and for Black people. The animated comedy series follows the lives of Duke and Naomi Wiley-King as they balance marriage, family, and careers with the more pressing community issues of salon gossip, bougie aunties, suspect potato salad, and aerobicized colonizers." Harpo Films and Bent Image Lab are producing. (Deadline.com)
OK BOOMER (HBO Max) - Devere Rogers has been cast in the Patti LuPone/Erinn Hayes-led multi-camera comedy pilot as Russell, "the youngest of Barbara's (LuPone) children and half-brother to Sarah (Hayes) from an affair Barbara had with his dad." (Deadline.com)
SECRET INVASION (Disney+) - Kingsley Ben-Adir has been cast opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn in the Marvel Studios series as "a lead villain on the show." (Deadline.com)
SUPERGIRL (The CW) - Newcomer Eliza Helm has been cast as a young version of Cat Grant (former co-star Calista Flockhart) on the series, appearing in flashback during the show's fifth and sixth episodes this season. (EW.com)
TOURIST, THE (HBO Max) - Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and Alex Dimitriades have been tapped to star opposite Jamie Dornan in the limited series. Ólafsson will play Billy, "an American bound up in the epic cat and mouse chase with The Man (Dornan)"; while Dimitriades will portray Kostas, "an extremely wealthy and powerful character with nefarious international business interests." WALKING TALL (USA, New!) - WWE star Charlotte Flair is attached to star in a small screen reboot of the film/TV franchise, about "a Tucson cop who finds herself caught in a web of fraud, exploitation and murder, and is forced to go full vigilante to protect her home town from falling victim to modern corruption." The project is "being set up as a two-hour TV movie with the hope of future instalments or as an ongoing series." David Eick is spearheading the project for Village Roadshow, Three Rivers, WWE Studios and Mosaic. (Deadline.com)
WONDER YEARS, THE (ABC) - Elisha "EJ" Williams has been tapped for the lead role of the reboot series pilot as Dean, "an inquisitive and hopeful 12-year-old kid coming of age in a turbulent time. It's 1968 in Montgomery, Alabama - and Dean is trying to figure out his place within his Black family and the world at large. Though a little insecure, a tad awkward and a bit self-conscious, he is determined to make his mark on the world around him." (Deadline.com)
WORLD OF DANCE (NBC) - The network has opted not to proceed with a fifth season of the Jennifer Lopez-produced competition series. (Deadline.com)
ZONE OF SILENCE, THE (Peacock, New!) - David Eick has sold a potential drama to the streamer which "follows a husband/wife UFO-hunting team, suffering from a strained marriage, who investigate the real-life 'Bermuda Triangle of Mexico', known for its bizarre phenomena and rumors of a hidden alien culture preparing for attack. If the heroes can save the world, they hope they can save their marriage." Mario Lopez, Jeff Stearns and Eric Winter are also on board to executive produce for Via Mar Productions and Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
