Wednesdays Get Real When 'The Circle' and 'Too Hot To Handle' Return This Spring

Brandon Riegg

VP of Unscripted and Documentary Series

Wednesdays are getting real this spring on Netflix.

We're excited to welcome back two of our biggest unscripted competition series, The Circle and Too Hot to Handle, which will premiere new seasons on Wednesdays beginning in April.

When these shows debuted last year, their unique premises turned heads. In January, The Circle challenged players to quarantine in their individual apartments and only communicate with each other via social media. By the time April arrived and we released Too Hot to Handle, a dating competition where the prize money hinged on players keeping their hands off each other, the seemingly outrageous setup suddenly felt much more relatable.

Although these shows may have felt a little too real at times, fans all over the world rallied around them with an energy and excitement we could not have imagined.

We can't wait for our members to see what's in store in their second seasons. We've added new twists and surprises to keep the games fresh -- and all new players that we think fans will love rooting for.

We're also experimenting with the release format so you have time to dissect and dish on every step of the competition as it unfolds. We'll debut several new episodes at a time on Wednesdays beginning with the first four episodes of The Circle on April 14. Once The Circle wraps in May, Too Hot to Handle takes over in June.

So mark your calendars and let the games begin.

The Circle

Synopsis: Season 2 of The Circle returns bigger and better, with more twists, turns, and shade thrown in all 13 episodes! A cast of eight new contestants enter The Circle, where they flirt, befriend, piss off, and compete in challenges against each other on a unique social media platform to earn the ultimate cash prize as top influencer. With $100k on the line, will they be able to earn clout and figure out who is real and who is a catfish?

The four-week event unfolds with new episodes every Wednesday starting April 14:

April 14: Episodes 1-4

April 21: Episodes 5-8

April 28: Episodes 9-12

May 5: Finale

Executive Producers: Stephen Lambert, Tim Harcourt, Jo Harcourt Smith, and Toni Ireland for Studio Lambert; Richard Foster and Chet Fenster for Motion Content Group.

Production Companies: Studio Lambert and Motion Content Group

Too Hot To Handle

Synopsis: The world's hottest no dating dating show is back with ten sexy new singles. Anyone who dares to break the rules of no kissing, no heavy petting, and no self-gratification of any kind will see the $100,000 prize drop faster than our contestants' libido in the least sexy vacation getaway of their lives.

New episodes premiere on Wednesdays in June.

Production Companies: Thames and Talkback (Fremantle labels)

Executive Producers: Amelia Brown, Saul Fearnley and Ros Coward for Thames Productions and Jonno Richards for Talkback.

Developed by Laura Gibson and Charlie Bennett
