ACAPULCO (Apple TV+) - The Eugenio Derbez-led feature-turned-comedy series has cast Enrique Arrizon as Maximo, "whose dream comes true when he gets the job of a lifetime at the hottest resort in Acapulco"; Damian Alcázar as Don Pablo, "the head of operations at the Acapulco resort"; Camila Perez as Julia, "the resort's front desk receptionist"; and Raphael Alejandro as Hugo, "Older Maximo's (Derbez) nephew." Additionally, Richard Shepard is set to helm the debut episode. (Deadline.com)
AMERICAN GODS (Starz) - Producer Fremantle released a statement on Wednesday detailing its efforts to find the series a new home: "Fremantle is committed to completing the epic journey that is American Gods, one of TV's most inclusive series with the most amazing fans across the globe. With Neil Gaiman and this fantastic cast and crew, we are exploring all options to continue to tell this magnificent story." (Deadline.com)
CHARMED (The CW) - Mareya Salazar will recur on the current season as Joséfina, "the Charmed Ones' second cousin. She is described as a strong, opinionated young woman who shows up on their doorstep with surprises and secrets. She also has a mission of her own." The news marks the second transgender actor to join this season. (Deadline.com)
CHESAPEAKE SHORES (Hallmark Channel) - Co-star Jesse Metcalfe is set to exit the series during its upcoming 10-episode fifth season, due this summer. "His character's storyline will wrap up early in Season Five," the network said in a statement. "Jesse is a valued member of the Crown Media family; we look forward to continuing to work with him on projects, including original movies on Hallmark Channel, as well as his Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' movie series, Martha's Vineyard Mysteries, the next installment of which premieres on May 16. In addition, we are currently in development on another movie in the series." (Deadline.com)
CITADEL (Amazon) - The Richard Madden/Priyanka Chopra Jonas-led drama series has cast Osy Ikhile and Caoilinn Springall as series regulars with Stanley Tucci, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Susan Lynch, Sara Martins, Leo Woodall, Gráinne Good and Leo Ashizawa also on board in recurring roles. No details about their characters were given. (Deadline.com)
DROPOUT, THE (Hulu) - Michael Showalter has signed on to direct multiple episodes of the Amanda Seyfreid-led limited drama series. He'll also serve as an executive producer alongside Jordana Mollick via their Semi-Formal Productions banner. (Deadline.com)
GHOSTS (CBS) - The Eye has ordered its domestic take on the U.K. single-camera comedy to series, about "a struggling young couple, Samantha (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), whose dreams come true when they inherit a beautiful country house, only to find it's both falling apart and inhabited by many of the deceased previous residents." Rebecca Wisocky, Brandon Scott Jones, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Richie Moriarty, Sheila Carrasco and Román Zaragoza also star in the project, from creators Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, Lionsgate Television, Monumental Television, BBC Studios and CBS Studios. Mathew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond, Martha Howe-Douglas, Alison Carpenter, Debra Hayward, Alison Owen and Angie Stephenson also executive produce. HOT PINK (Amazon, New!) - Sarah Michelle Gellar is attached to star in a coming-of-age comedy pilot for Amazon Studios loosely inspired by Elana K. Arnold's National Book Award finalist "What Girls Are Made Of." Writer Elisabeth Holm and director Desiree Akhavan are behind the project with Rebecca Green, Sue Naegle and Ali Krug also executive producing for Annapurna Television. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME (NBC) - Nicky Torchia, Michael Rivera and Ibrahim Renno will recur on the spin-off series as Eli Stabler, the son of Christopher Meloni's Elliot Stabler; Det. Diego Morales; and Izak Bekher, respectively. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Ethan Cutkosky will reprise his role of Henry Mesner, "the character he originated in a Season 14 episode. Back then, Henry was a young boy whose abuse of his sister led him to be diagnosed as a psychopath and sent to a juvenile treatment facility. In the Season 22 episode, titled "Post-Graduate Psychopath," Henry - who is now 18 - is asking to be released." (TVLine.com)
MONSTER: THE JEFFREY DAHMER STORY (Netflix) - Emmy winner Michael Learned is bound for the limited series as Catherine Dahmer, Jeffrey's (Evan Peters) grandmother. (Deadline.com)
NAOMI (The CW) - The DC Comics adaptation has cast Barry Watson as Greg, "Naomi's (Kaci Walfall) adoptive father, a veteran military officer who is serious about his responsibilities at the town's military base"; Mouzam Makkar as Jennifer, "Naomi's adoptive mother, who dotes on her bright and gifted daughter"; Mary-Charles Jones as Annabelle, "Naomi's fiercely loyal classmate and best friend who is unafraid of telling Naomi hard truths"; Aidan Gemme as Jacob, "sweet, shy, and a bit nerdy; Jacob has been dating Annabelle since the fifth grade, and he treats her like a queen"; Daniel Puig as Nathan, "a high school jock who briefly dated Naomi before she ended the relationship"; and Will Meyers as Anthony, "this handsome teen is a proud "townie" who has a crush on Naomi and will do anything to help her on her journey." SEAL TEAM (CBS) - Jason Dohring has scored a recurring role on the drama as LCDR Whitshaw, "a charismatic and intelligent, high ranking officer with a stellar reputation, that knows how to work the regulation and system to his advantage. STATELESS (Netflix) - Executive producer Liz Watts has signed an overall deal with NBCUniversal International Studios's Matchbox Pictures where she'll develop new series projects. (Deadline.com)
THREE OF US, THE (CBS) - The network has released co-stars Oliver Hudson, Malin Akerman and Brent Morin from the multi-camera comedy pilot, which "follows adult siblings - played in the pilot by Hudson, Akerman and Morin - who are children of divorce and must circle the wagons when their sister's husband unexpectedly announces he wants to call it quits on their marriage." Said options were up today however the Eye plans to keep the project under consideration for the 2021-22 schedule. Creator Frank Pines, CBS Studios and Fulwell 73 are behind the half-hour with Ben Winston, Jeff Grosvenor and James Corden also executive producing. Should it not move forward, CBS Studios plans to shop it elsewhere. (Deadline.com)
TO ALL THE BOYS SPIN-OFF SERIES (Netflix, New!) - The streamer is reportedly developing a spin-off of its film trilogy, a half-hour comedy series which would follow Anna Cathcart's Kitty Song Covey, "the youngest of the Covey sisters, on her quest to find true love." Author Jenny Han is behind the project, with Siobhan Vivian co-writing the pilot script. Awesomeness and Matt Kaplan's ACE Entertainment will return to produce. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LAKERS PROJECT (HBO) - The ever-expanding cast of the network's 1980s Los Angeles Lakers drama has added Brett Cullen as former NBA star and Lakers head coach Bill Sharman and Lola Kirke as Jerry West's wife Karen. (Deadline.com)
