OLGA DIES DREAMING (Hulu, New!) - Writer Xochitl Gonzalez and director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon have scored a pilot order from the streamer for a new drama based on the former's novel, billed as "the story of a Nuyorican brother and sister from a gentrifying Sunset Park, Brooklyn, reckoning with the absent, politically radical mother and their glittering careers among New York City's elite in the wake of Hurricane Maria." 20th Television is producing. (Deadline.com)
REPUBLIC OF SARAH, THE (The CW) - Ryan Bruce is slated to recur on the newcomer as Adam Dearborn, "an "unbearably handsome do-anything-for you" New Englander and dad to Josh (Etienne Kellici). Soon Adam's bucolic small-town life is turned upside down when the history between his wife Corinne (Hope Lauren) and Danny is revealed." (Variety.com)
STAIRCASE, THE (HBO Max) - Oscar-nominee Toni Collette is set to star opposite Colin Firth in the true crime docuseries-turned-scripted limited series as Kathleen Peterson, "a corporate executive, mother and stepmother of five, and wife of Michael Peterson, played by Firth." (Deadline.com)
