BIG SHOT (Disney+) - Camyrn Manheim, Daisha Graf and Dale Whibley have been confirmed a recurring on the recently launched series. Manheim will play Coach McCarthy, "Coach Korn's (John Stamos) rival"; with Whibley as Lucas, "Louise's (Nell Verlaque) brother"; and Graf as Angel, "Destiny's (Tiana Le) tough, free-spirited aunt." BULLETPROOF (The CW) - The British cop drama has been pulled from The CW's streaming services "after British newspaper The Guardian revealed that 20 women have leveled allegations of misconduct against [actor Noel] Clarke." (Deadline.com)
DICKINSON (Apple TV+) - Showrunner Alena Smith will make her directorial debut during the series' upcoming third season. (Variety.com)
GARCIAS, THE (HBO Max, New!) - The streamer has given a 10-episode order to New Cadence Productions for a sequel series to Nickelodeon's "The Brothers Garcia," which "revolved around four children - three boys and a girl - in a Mexican American family living in San Antonio, Texas. The new iteration finds the Garcia children grown up and gathering with their parents for a three-month summer vacation in a luxury home by the beach." Jeff Valdez, Sol Trujilo and head writer Joey Gutierrez are the executive producers of the project, with Ada Maris and Carlos Lacamara returning as parents Sonia and Ray Garcia; Alvin Alvarez, Jeffrey Licon and Bobby Gonzalez back as brothers Larry, Carlos and George; and Vaneza Pitynski as sister Lorena. Filming is scheduled to begin in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico in June. (Variety.com)
LAST KINGDOM, THE (Netflix) - The streamer has confirmed the show's upcoming 10-episode fifth season will be its last. (Deadline.com)
LIGHTYEARS (Amazon) - Oscar winner J.K. Simmons has signed onto the Sissy Spacek-led drama series as Franklin, "a former woodworker with a charmingly grumpy demeanor. After more than 50 years of marriage, Franklin still has a powerful devotion to his wife but doesn't share her fascination with the chamber, a secret that weighs heavily on him. For her sake, he is willing to endure its presence in their lives, but his patience is wearing thin." He replaces Ed O'Neill, who has exited the project for family reasons. (Deadline.com)
MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH, THE (Showtime) - Joana Ribeiro and Annelle Olayele have both landed roles on the Chiwetel Ejiofor-led drama series. Ribeiro will play Lisa Dominguez, "a signals specialist at the CIA who works for Clay (Jimmi Simpson). Lisa is smart, ambitious, talented and dedicated to her country, while carrying the burden of her own secrets." And Olayele plays Molly Falls, "the first human child to meet our Man Who Fell to Earth. Molly's perspective changes the course of our planet's evolution." (Deadline.com)
NIGHT COURT (NBC) - Melissa Rauch will star in the proposed sequel series, which "centers on the unapologetic optimist judge Abby Stone (Rauch), daughter of the late Harry Stone, who follows in her father's footsteps as she presides over the night shift of a Manhattan arraignment court and tries to bring order to its crew of oddballs and cynics, most notably former night court prosecutor Dan Fielding (John Larroquette)." Rauch already serves as an executive producer on the project, which is nearing a pilot order from the network. (Deadline.com)
OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH (HBO Max) - Taika Waititi is set to appear in his period comedy series, loosely based on the true adventures of Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby), a pampered aristocrat who abandoned his life of privilege to become a pirate. The Oscar winner, who is already directing the pilot, will play Blackbeard, "history's most feared and revered pirate." (Deadline.com)
RUSSIAN DOLL (Netflix) - Ephraim Sykes is the latest bound for the show's second season in a top secret role. (Deadline.com)
