Together they must find a way to keep their children safe, struggling to come to terms with this new reality even as they desperately search for a way back home." (Deadline.com)
GOOD DOCTOR, THE (ABC) - Noah Galvin's Asher Wolke and Bria Samoné Henderson's Jordan Allen have both been named regulars for the series' fifth season, due this fall. (TVLine.com)

NCIS: LOS ANGELES (CBS) - Co-stars Barrett Foa and Renée Felice Smith have confirmed their exits from the series following Sunday's season finale. "Both Renée and Barrett have been on the show a long time, and they're both very ambitious individuals who have projects that they want to do on their own - and we've been giving them time off to do so," showrunner R. Scott Gemmill told the publication. "It seemed like a natural time to let them go off and do some other things, and give [their characters] what is a happy, hopefully, ending." (TVLine.com, 5/23)
OUR KIND OF PEOPLE/WONDER YEARS, THE (FOX/ABC) - Executive producer Lee Daniels has extended his overall deal with 20th Television, keeping his Lee Daniels Entertainment banner at the studio for the foreseeable future. (Deadline.com)
OUR LADIES OF BROOKLYN/PAINKILLER (The CW) - The network has passed on both drama pilots. Producer CBS Studios plans to shop the former to sister streamer Paramount+ and other outlets; while the latter was a backdoor pilot from "Black Lightning." (Deadline.com)
POWERPUFF GIRLS, THE/TOM SWIFT (The CW) - The netlet likewise opted not to proceed with said projects in their current forms. "Powerpuff," based on the Cartoon Network animated series, will be reworked and repiloted off-cycle with co-stars Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron, Yana Perrault and Donald Faison all expected to return. As for the "Nancy Drew" spin-off, it's understood the network may order a true stand-alone pilot as part of its future series consideration. (Deadline.com)
SHINING GIRLS (Apple TV+) - Michelle MacLaren is slated to direct the first two episodes of the series; with co-star Elisabeth Moss going behind the camera on another pair and Daina Reid helming four episodes. (Deadline.com)
SHŌGUN (FX on Hulu) - Hiroyuki Sanada and Cosmo Jarvis have booked the male leads on the long-in-the-works limited series based on James Clavell's bestselling novel. Sanada's Yoshii Toranaga is "a living legend. He is a powerful daimyo from a feared lineage, isolated and outnumbered by his enemies in Osaka Castle when the story begins. But little does anyone realize that Toranaga is a brilliant strategist, a master of the long game, and the holder of Japan's ultimate fate." And Jarvis's John Blackthorne is "a restless English pilot in search of a destiny far from the world he was born into. His mission is to forge a path into the Pacific islands and disrupt Portuguese and Spanish interests in Japan. But Blackthorne finds more than he bargained for when his ship washes ashore within the territory of Toranaga, a deadly warlord who becomes his captor and spiritual mentor." (Deadline.com)
