FOX Sports Broadcasters Converge Upon Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, N.Y. for Historic Annual Event
NEW YORK - The dog days of summer have come early this year, as FOX Sports presents full coverage of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13, on FOX, FS1 and FS2, highlighted by more broadcast television coverage than ever before. The Masters Agility Championship returns to FOX, while Best in Show is crowned live on broadcast television for the first time in at least 30 years.
Broadcasters from numerous FOX Sports shows and properties descend upon the picturesque Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, N.Y., home to this year's event for the first time in the show's 145-year history. Anchoring the weekend's primetime coverage, MLB, NFL and NASCAR host Chris Myers joins Gail Miller Bisher, the voice of the Westminster Kennel Club, and veteran judge Don Sturz in the booth. Jenny Taft, moderator of FS1 studio show UNDISPUTED and the network's lead college football reporter, returns as the event's host, while NFL and soccer reporter Sara Walsh makes her Westminster debut, interviewing judges and handlers.
Primetime coverage begins with Group Judging on FS1 at 7:00 PM ET Saturday, June 12, continuing Sunday, June 13, at 7:00 PM ET with Group Judging and the crowning of Best in Show live on FOX.
Westminster Weekend begins with the Masters Agility Championship, which returns to FOX Saturday, June 12, at 5:00 PM ET. FOX Soccer lead play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the action, joining analyst and dog trainer Terry Simons with reporter Jennifer Hale, a mainstay on the network's NFL coverage.
Strong and Hale also contribute to FOX Sports' daytime Breed Judging Saturday, June 12, at 1:00 PM ET on FS2 and Sunday, June 13, at 1:30 PM ET on FS1. Veteran judges Kimberly Meredith and Jason Hoke join Strong at the desk, while Hale speaks with some of the event's most notable participants.
The FOX Sports app and WestminsterKennelClub.org provide additional coverage of the weekend's events with original content and bonus cameras. Charlotte Wilder, FOX Sports columnist and co-host of THE PEOPLE'S SPORTS PODCAST, is on location with regular updates across FOX Sports digital and social platforms. The FOX Sports app and WestminsterKennelClub.org stream Daytime Judging of Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding breeds and the Junior Showmanship preliminaries on Saturday, June 12, as well as Daytime Judging of Sporting, Working and Terrier breeds, Junior Showmanship preliminaries and Masters Obedience Championship on Sunday, June 13, from 9:00 AM-4:30 PM ET both days.
