ABANDONS, THE (Netflix, New!) - Kurt Sutter is developing a new drama at the streaming service set in the Old West about "the origins of La Cosa Nostra" and "how these Sicilian peasant families were being more than marginalized by the land barons and the aristocrats. These families banded together to defend themselves from these abusive land barons, and from that taking those matters into their own hands, La Cosa Nostra was born and became the authority and the law and the order of the land." AHSOKA (Disney+) - Ivanna Sakhno has scored a role on the latest live-action "Star Wars" series. No details were given other than she'll be playing a newly created character. (Deadline.com)
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS (PBS) - The upcoming David Tennant-led adaptation of Jules Verne's novel is already go for a second season: "The second season will again see Phileas Fogg (Tennant) and his team take another perilous challenge to traverse the globe." (Deadline.com)
AUNTIES (NBC, New!) - Shantira Jackson has scored a put pilot commitment from the network for a potential comedy which "tells the story of what happens when a young woman goes back home and helps raise the women who raised her." Amber Ruffin, Seth Meyers, Mike Shoemaker and Jason Carden will also executive produce for the Universal Television-based Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Donal Logue's Lt. Declan Murphy and Ari'el Stachel's Sgt. Hasim Khaldun will both return for an upcoming episode due in January. (TVLine.com)
