DANCE BROTHERS (Netflix) - The Finnish series has cast Samuel Kujala and Roderick Kabanga as the title roles in the series, which "centers around the two brothers, Roni (Kabanga) and Sakari (Kujala), as they struggle to make a living as professional dancers. To help finance their dance dreams, they decide to start their own club which provides income, housing and a training space. Their unique club and impressive dance routines quickly bring them fame. Soon artistic ambitions and personal relationships collide with commercial demands, and the love the brothers have for each other will be tested." Jeanine Muyima, Fanni Noroila, Lauri Lohi, Eeva Eloranta and Cristal Snow also star in the project, which is currently filming in Helsinki. (Variety.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Warren Leight is stepping down as showrunner of the veteran drama for the second time. "The last two years of show running during a pandemic have been arduous, and I've decided to take a break," he wrote on Twitter. (@warrenleightTV)

STAX (HBO, New!) - Director Jamila Wignot is spearheading a multi-part docuseries at the pay channel about Stax Records, "which was founded in 1957 by Jim Stewart. Stewart, a country music fan, and his sister Estelle Axton, who mortgaged her house to afford recording equipment, released "Fool in Love" by the Veltones under its original name Satellite Records. They then took over an old movie theater in Memphis with plans to turn it into a recording studio and discovering a coterie of R&B acts." Ezra Edelman, Caroline Waterlow, Nigel Sinclair, Nicholas Ferrall, Scott Pascucci, Sophia Dilley, Michele Smith, Jody Gerson, David Blackman, Charlie Cohen and Ron Broitman will executive produce for White Horse Pictures, Concord Originals, Polygram Entertainment and Warner Music Entertainment. Elfant Festa and Cassidy Hartmann are co-executive producers with Wignot and Kara Elverson producing. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JACKASS PROJECT (Paramount+, New!) - Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish has indicated a new incarnation of the series is in the works for the streaming service. "Based off the success of Jackass Forever, we are working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+," he said on a call with analysts Tuesday following quarterly earnings. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED SUICIDE SQUAD SPIN-OFF PROJECT (HBO Max) - Viola Davis is in talks to once again reprise her role of Amanda Waller for the latest spin-off series. Christal Henry is behind the Warner Bros.
