(Los Angeles) - MotorTrend announced today it will air MECUM HARRISBURG 2022 auction action on MotorTrend TV and MotorTrend+, the leading subscription streaming service dedicated entirely to the motoring world, starting on Thursday, July 28 from 6 p.m. to midnight ET. Auction coverage on both MotorTrend TV and MotorTrend+ continues Friday, July 29 from 6 p.m. to midnight ET and Saturday, July 30 from 6 p.m. to midnight ET.
Mecum's auction in Harrisburg will offer an estimated 1,200 outstanding collector vehicles, including vintage cars, classic cars, exotic and supercars, luxury cars, muscle cars, Hot Rods, pickup trucks, brass era cars and motorcycles. A few of the main attractions and star cars crossing the block during MotorTrend's coverage includes: a 1998 Volvo V70 Wagon used in AMC's hit shows Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul driven by the character Gus Fring in the second, third and fourth seasons of Breaking Bad as well as the third, fourth, fifth and sixth seasons of Better Call Saul; a 1985 Lamborghini Countach LP500S Quattrovalvole that is one of 321 produced between 1982-85 and has a metric odometer that reads just over 11,000 miles; a marvelously restored 1950 GMC 5-Window Pickup boasting a 228 CI 6-cylinder engine, which is the same powerplant that moves a 1930 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup that has received the Model A Restorers Club MARC of Excellence and Master Restoration awards, the Model A Ford Club of America Award of Excellence for the Restored Class, an AACA National First Prize in 2007, and an AACA Senior Grand National First Prize in 2009.
Among the other featured vehicles consigned to the Mecum Harrisburg 2022 auction is a selection from the Dan The Oil Man Collection, including a Bloomington Gold Certified and multiple-time NCRS Top Flight-winning 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe. Also from the collection is a factory R-code 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback with the Drag Pack and featuring a matching-numbers 428 Super Cobra Jet V-8 engine and a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. Two vintage Plymouths will be offered from the Dan The Oil Man Collection as well, including a 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda with an A833 4-speed manual transmission and a 1970 Plymouth GTX that's finished in FK5 Deep Burnt Orange Metallic with a very rare V1G Gator-grain vinyl top and powered by a matching-numbers 440 6-BBL V-8 engine and an A833 4-speed manual transmission.
MECUM HARRISBURG 2022 on MotorTrend+ and MotorTrend TV will be hosted by Scott Hoke with commentators John Kraman, Stephen Cox, Bill Stephens, Katie Osborne and Chris Jacobs bringing viewers all the action from the auction floor, exclusive interviews from the staging lanes, and in-depth vehicle previews.
