By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

ANIMAL CONTROL (FOX, New!) - Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg and Dan Sterling have received a straight-to-series order from the network for a single-camera comedy "following a group of Animal Control workers whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not." It's understood three scripts have already been written as part of FOX's script-to-series model. FOX Entertainment is producing. (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Benjamin Levy Aguilar's Dante Torres has been promoted to regular for the series' upcoming 10th season. (Deadline.com)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Adelaide Kane is the fourth new addition to the show's 19th season. Kane's Jules Millin "was raised by drug addled artist/hippies and somehow emerged as the only real grown-up in the family. Because she always had to take care of herself and her parents, she can be a little bossy - but her heart is always in the right place. She's not afraid to break the rules to save a life, and sometimes it gets her in trouble." (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Molly Burnett will recur on the upcoming season as Det. Grace Muncy, who "has experience working with gangs, and that she's very good at her job. She's also smart, blunt and attractive… so we're guessing she'll fit right in with Capt. Benson's team." (TVLine.com)
MY DENTIST'S MURDER TRIAL (HBO, New!) - David Harbour and Pedro Pascal are attached to star in a proposed limited series which "centers on Dr. Gilberto Nunez (Pascal) who in 2015 was indicted for killing his friend Thomas Kolman by getting him "to ingest a substance that caused his death." There were also two forgery counts, including Nunez posing as a C.I.A. agent. Nunez, who had had an affair with Kolman's wife Linda, stood trial in 2018 where he was found not guilty of murder but guilty on fraud charges, which led to a prison sentence." Writer/director Steve Conrad is behind the project, which his based on James Lasdun's 2017 New Yorker article. Conrad, Harbour and Pascal then will executive produce alongside Bruce Terris, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, Molly Allen and James Lasdun for Escape Artists and MGM Television. Taylor Latham co-executive produces. (Deadline.com)
