CSI: VEGAS (CBS) - Eric Szmanda is set to reprise his original "CSI" role of Greg Sanders during the back half of the revival's second season. (TVLine.com)
DARK MATTER (Apple TV+) - Amanda Brugel will recur on the upcoming sci-fi series as Blaire, "Daniella's (Jennifer Connelly) close friend." (Deadline.com)
GENIUS: MLK/X (Disney+) - Jalyn Hall has been cast as the young Martin Luther King, Jr. in the upcoming season of the anthology series. Kelvin Harrison, Jr. plays said role as an adult. (Deadline.com)
HURT UNIT, THE (ABC, New!) - Writers Matt Lopez and John Glenn are set to team with director Marc Webb for a new drama at the Alphabet which "follows a highly skilled team of trauma surgeons and nurses who race into the field to treat the patients who won't make it to the hospital in time. When the sick and the injured can't get to the ER, the Hurt brings the ER to them." The project has a pilot order with silbing ABC Signature producing. (Deadline.com)
LITTLE FILMS (HBO) - Production on the six-episode series from Julio Torres is set to begin in February. (Deadline.com)
OTHER BLACK GIRL, THE (Hulu) - Brian Baumgartner, Alyshia Ochse and Kate Owens are all slated to recur on the series. Baumgartner will play Colin, "Wagner's best-selling author"; with Ochse as Maisy, "an editor at Wagner, who is known to always wear a power suit, and speaks twice as loud as needed"; and Owens as Sophie, "a Bushwick hipster that works in the office." SHANTARAM (Apple TV) - The streamer has nixed the Charlie Hunnam-led drama, which wraps its run tomorrow. (Deadline.com)
SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES (Disney+) - Jack Dylan Grazer is the latest addition to the series as the voice of Thimbletack, "a boggart who lives in the walls of the Spiderwick Estate." (Variety.com)
STANLEY TUCCI: SEARCHING FOR ITALY (CNN) - The reality series has been canceled after two seasons. "Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy is one of the most successful projects produced by CNN Original Series, garnering two consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for outstanding hosted nonfiction program," a spokesperson said in a statement. "We want to thank the Stanley Tucci for his dream partnership. We look forward to collaborating on the upcoming Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico, for which he serves as an executive producer." UNTITLED JOSHUA TROKE PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Joshua Troke has sold a new drama to the network which "follows the hardworking team of doctors caring for the pioneering residents and thrill-seeking visitors on the United States' first lunar colony." The project, which has a penalty attached, will also be executive produced by Mickey Fisher, Justin Lin, Andrew Schneider and Sal Gatdula for the Universal Television-based Perfect Storm Entertainment. UNTITLED NATALIE CALLAGHAN PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Natalie Callaghan has booked a potential legal drama at the network. No other plot specifics were given about the project, which is set up at Alexi Hawley's Entertainment One-based Perfectman Pictures. (Deadline.com)
WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES (Hulu) - The limited series has tapped Henry Lloyd Hughes as Genek, "the eldest of the Kurc siblings who carries himself with irresistible charm and swagger"; Moran Rosenblatt as Herta, "an uninhibited, playful presence who is the perfect counterpart to Genek"; Sam Woolf as Adam, "a skilled architect whose quiet intellect and keen attention to detail catch the eye of Halina (Joey King), the youngest of the Kurc siblings"; and Michael Aloni as Selim, "the adoring husband of Mila (Hadas Yaron) who runs a medical research lab in Radom."
