CLEO (Peacock, New!) - Jessica Runck has sold a one-hour dramedy to the streamer which "revolves around Cleopatra, an overqualified young woman who is forced to hide her intelligence behind make-up, clothes and men to earn the respect she needs to hang on to her job: being queen of Egypt." Jennie Snyder Urman, Aaron Kaplan, Brian Morewitz, Wendi Trilling, Joanna Klein and Karen Forman are also among the executive producers for Kapital Entertainment, TrillTV and CBS Studios. DEAD DAY (Peacock) - The streamer has shelved its previously announced adaptation of the comic book series from Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, a year to the day after it was originally announced with a straight-to-series order. Universal Television plans to shop the project elsewhere. (Variety.com)
FIRE COUNTRY (CBS) - Zach Tinker is bound for the freshman drama as Collin, "a humble, charming, and talented probie firefighter. As the son of a famous firefighting hero, Collin carries a name that he's constantly trying to live up to." The character will debut on Sunday's special post-AFC Championship episode. (Deadline.com)
GOOSEBUMPS (Disney+) - Rob Huebel will recur on the R.L. Stine adaptation as Colin, father of Margot (Isa Briones), "a well-intentioned high school guidance counselor who is about to discover the world is a lot bigger and scarier than he ever imagined." (Variety.com)
JAY LENO'S GARAGE (CNBC) - The cable channel has opted not to renew the classic car series after seven seasons. Said report indicates the "cancellation comes amid a larger schedule shift at the channel, with its primetime hours to focus on reality reruns of Shark Tank and Undercover Boss, as well as original business documentaries." LUCKY HANK (AMC) - Lilah Fitzgerald will guest on the Bob Odenkirk-led drama series as "one of the students at the school with a special interest in starting an organization to "avert mediocrity." However, she seems to have some underlying ulterior motives." (Variety.com)
MONEY COURT (CNBC) - The Kevin O'Leary/Bethenny Frankel-hosted series has likewise been canceled by the network. (Deadline.com)
PERFECT NANNY, THE (HBO, New!) - Nicole Kidman and Maya Erskine are set to topline a limited series at the pay channel based on Leïla Slimani's book of the same name in which "a seemingly perfect nanny goes to work for a couple with two young children, but her helpful personality eventually deteriorates into something sinister." Erskine is also penning the project with Kidman, Per Saari, Pascal Caucheteux and Philippe Godeau likewise executive producing for Blossom Films, Why Not Productions and Pan-Européenne. TOMB RAIDER (Amazon, New!) - Phoebe Waller-Bridge is spearheading a TV series based on the popular video game turned action movie franchise about the adventurous archaeologist for Amazon Studios. She'll write and executive produce - but not star - alongside Ryan Andolina, Amanda Greenblatt, Dmitri M. Johnson for dj2 Entertainment. (THR.com)
UNTITLED ORPHAN PROJECT (Hulu) - Academy Award nominee Liz Garbus is set to direct and executive produce the Ellen Pompeo-led limited series. (Deadline.com)
