LOS ANGELES - The crown jewel of Major League Baseball is set as the World Series presented by Capital One leads off Friday, Oct. 27 between the National League champion Arizona Diamondbacks and American League champion Texas Rangers from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on FOX, FOX Deportes and FOX Sports streaming services.
ALL-STAR VOICES OF THE WORLD SERIES
Coverage begins with first-ballot Hall of Famers Derek Jeter and David Ortiz, along with World Series champion Alex Rodriguez, bringing their unique insights to the Emmy Award-winning FOX MLB studio desk anchored by veteran host Kevin Burkhardt. Collectively, the FOX MLB studio analysts bring an unprecedented 38 All-Star Game appearances, 37 postseason appearances and nine World Series championships to the network's coverage.
Award-winning reporters Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci also are set to contribute, in addition to highlighted features from the renowned Tom Rinaldi.
In the booth, lead play-by-play announcer Joe Davis is joined by first-ballot Hall of Famer and Emmy Award-winning analyst John Smoltz, with Rosenthal and Verducci covering all the action as FOX Sports steps into the batter's box for its 26th season of World Series coverage.
WORLD SERIES TECH ON FOX
FOX Sports industry-leading production technology lineup will be headlined by the use of aerial production drones for the first time in World Series history. The custom three-drone fleet, developed and operated by Beverly Hills Aerials, includes the "Gimbal Bee," "Hummer Lite," and "Hummingbird."
FOX Sports UmpCam, which made its postseason debut in the ALDS, continues delivering its unique point of view in the World Series as part of a 52-camera effort that includes a FlyCam, three DirtCams, 13 Super Motion cameras and three RF cameras.
