NEW YORK - January 24, 2024 - Acorn TV's captivating crime drama The Madame Blanc Mysteries, created by and starring Sally Lindsay (Cold Call, Mount Pleasant), returns with a two-episode premiere on Monday, February 19, with additional episodes dropping weekly. The Christmas Special, the first episode of Season 3, premiered on Christmas Day and is available to stream on Acorn TV.
The Madame Blanc Mysteries follows renowned and respected antiques dealer, Jean White (Lindsay). Her expertise in the world of antiquities proves to be the key to solving a series of murders and mysteries against the backdrop of the beautiful French village of Sainte Victoire. This season sees Jean solving new mysteries, ranging from a deep-sea diving mishap to a historical duel, alongside her friend - and flirting partner - Dom (Steve Edge, Starlings, Murder They Hope, Maxine).
The all-new season also sees the return of Gloria Beaushaw (Sue Vincent, Mount Pleasant, Shameless), eccentric married couple and manor owners Judith Lloyd James (Sue Holderness, Only Fools and Horses, Still Open All Hours) and Jeremy Lloyd James (Robin Askwith, Strike, Benidorm), Chief of Police André Caron (Alex Gaumond, Derry Girls, My Dinner With Hervé, Death In Paradise) and Dom's light-fingered Uncle Patrick (Tony Robinson, Blackadder, Time Team).
The Madame Blanc Mysteries, an Acorn TV Original Series, is created by Sally Lindsay with Sue Vincent serving as series co-writer. Dermot Boyd serves as director. Clapperboard and Saffron Cherry Productions co-produce alongside Acorn Media Enterprises, who also serves as international distributor, holding exclusive rights worldwide except for the UK and Northern Ireland. The series was ordered for Channel 5 by Paul Testar, Commissioning Editor, Drama, Channel 5 and Paramount+. The series is produced by Jake Rollins, while Mike Benson and Andy Morgan serves as Executive Producers for Clapperboard alongside Sally Lindsay and Caroline Roberts-Cherry for Saffron Cherry.
