ABBOTT ELEMENTARY (ABC) - Lana Condor, Keegan-Michael Key, Cree Summer, Tatyana Ali and Karan Soni are the latest actors set to drop by the series this season. No character details however were given. (Deadline.com, 3/11)
BASED ON A TRUE STORY (Peacock) - Annie Weisman has been tapped as showrunner of the series' second season, succeeding creator Craig Rosenberg "who remains an executive producer while pursuing other projects." (Deadline.com, 3/13)
BEAR, THE (FX on Hulu) - The Emmy-winning comedy has been picked up for a fourth season to film back-to-back with its previously announced third season. (Deadline.com, 3/14)
CROW GIRL, THE (Paramount+, New!) - Eve Myles, Katherine Kelly and Dougray Scott will topline a new series for the streamer "adapted from the Erik Axl Sund novel and begins with the gruesome discovery of a teenage boy's body discarded in plain sight. Determined to find who is responsible, DCI Jeanette Kilburn (Myles) joins forces with psychotherapist Sophia Craven (Kelly) to hunt the killer, despite opposition from her superiors including confidant DI Lou Stanley (Scott)." Buccaneer Media is behind the project, with Tony Wood, Richard Tulk-Hart and writer Milly Thomas executive producing; Charles Martin and Rebecca Rycroft directing; and Andy Mosse producing. DROPS OF GOD (Apple TV+) - Creator Quoc Dang Tran has signed a two-year overall deal with HBO to develop new series projects on an exclusive basis. (Deadline.com, 3/13)
DYNASTY, THE: NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (Apple TV+) - Director Matthew Hamachek has signed a first-look deal with the streamer. (Deadline.com, 3/13)
FIREBUG (Apple TV+) - Emmy nominee Jurnee Smollett will star alongside Taron Egerton in the drama series as Michelle, "a rising-star detective." (Deadline.com, 3/13)
FORGIVE AND FORGET (ABC) - Ty Burrell's multi-camera comedy has been ordered to pilot by the Alphabet: "The show, which comes from 20th Television, follows perennial life of the party Hank (Burrell). After an unexpected diagnosis, Hank reconnects with his responsible adult son Ben in hopes of making new memories together." Eugene Garcia-Cross and Robin Shorr will also executive produce. GRACE (CBS, New!) - Devon Greggory and Corey Moore have sold a new drama to the Eye which "follows a true-blue detective known for his brash, cynical style and a passionate, community-focused pastor who wears her heart on her sleeve reluctantly partner to solve complex crimes as they debate their divergent beliefs while attempting to ignore their growing chemistry." The project is set up at DeVon Franklin's CBS Studios-based Franklin Entertainment, which recently renewed its overall deal for another two years. Said trio will executive produce with Jenna Nicholson Grieb as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com, 3/15)
GROSSE POINTE GARDEN SOCIETY (NBC) - Maggie Kiley is attached to direct and executive produce the drama pilot from Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs. (Variety.com, 3/15)
HAPPY FACE (Paramount+) - Tamera Tomakili has been cast in the upcoming drama as Ivy, "a true crime segment producer on The Dr. Greg Show, the show where Melissa works as a makeup artist. "Calculating when she needs to be, caring when she wants to be," she accompanies Melissa on a grim errand to an Oregon prison to unlock the carefully held secret of Melissa's past." LAID (Peacock) - The Stephanie Hsu-led comedy series has cast Zosia Mamet as AJ; Michael Angarano as Richie; and Tommy Martinez as Isaac. No other character details were given. (Deadline.com, 3/13)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Kelli Giddish's Amanda Rollins will make another visit to the series for its 11th episode this season. (Deadline.com, 3/14)
LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ (NBC) - Lisa Rinna will drop by the series as "a client of George's (George Lopez) moving company who subsequently becomes his love interest." Additionally, Scheana Shay and Brock Davies are also set to guest as Erica and Justin, "Mayan and Quinten's rival parents at Chance's school. When both of their children get into the gifted program, the rivalry escalates to a battle of brains." (Variety.com, 3/12; Variety.com, 3/15)
MENTIRAS (Amazon, New!) - Luis Gerardo Méndez, Mariana Treviño, Diana Bovio and Regina Blandón will topline a series adaptation of the popular Mexican stage musical at the streaming service: ""Mentiras," which means "Lies" in English, follows four women who meet at a funeral and discover that the deceased had a relationship with each of them before being murdered, making them all prime suspects." Writer/director Gabriel Ripstein is executive producing the project alongside Méndez and Andrea Gamboa for Cine Vaquero and Pez Caja. (Variety.com, 3/11)
NCIS: ORIGINS (CBS) - Mariel Molino has scored the female lead opposite Austin Stowell in the prequel series as Special Agent Lala Dominguez, "a former Marine who navigates her 1990s male-dominated field with a steely resolve and a dark sense of humor. When a tormented Leroy Jethro Gibbs joins her team, the ensuing story between these two enigmatic outsiders is filled with sparks and turns that will keep the audience guessing." (Deadline.com, 3/15)
NCIS (CBS) - Daniela Ruah's Kensi Blye-Deeks from "NCIS: Los Angeles" and Vanessa Lachey's Jane Tennant from "NCIS: Hawai'i" will both drop by the show's April 15 episode, which marks the franchise's 1,000th installment. (TVLine.com, 3/14)
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING (Hulu) - Zach Galifianakis is the latest face bound for the series as a character "integral to the twist and turns of this season's investigation." (Variety.com, 3/11)
PEACEMAKER/WALLER (Max) - James Gunn has indicted that filming on "Peacemaker's" long-in-the-works second season will take place simultaneously with his "Superman" feature film. He also confirmed "Waller," from Christal Henry and Jeremy Carver, is still happening after "Peacemaker." (Nerdist.com, 3/11)
POWER BOOK IV: FORCE (Starz) - Executive producer Gary Lennon has signed a new overall deal with the show's producer Lionsgate Television. (Deadline.com, 3/11)
PULSE (Netflix) - Willa Fitzgerald and Colin Woodell have both been cast in the Justina Machado-led drama. Fitzgerald's plays Danielle "Danny" Simms, "a 3rd year resident in Emergency Medicine at Maguire Hospital in Miami. While her deep empathy makes her an exceptional doctor in training, her brash and self-sabotaging nature disrupts her personal and professional life." And Woodell plays Xander Phillips: "Hailing from one of Miami's most powerful medical families, Xander is the Chief Resident of Emergency Medicine at Maguire, with the series exploring the duo's work dynamic and romantic relationship after Danny is promoted to Chief Resident. Highly confident and charismatic, Xander is a respected leader, who finds himself caught up in the complications of a provocative romantic relationship." (Deadline.com, 3/14)
SPIDER-MAN NOIR (Amazon) - Executive producer Steven Lightfoot has signed a new overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, home to the series. He's also spearheading a series adaptation of the Scot Harvath books from Brad Thor. No network is currently attached to said project. (Deadline.com, 3/13)
SUITS: L.A. (NBC) - Bryan Greenberg and Alice Lee are the latest additions to the drama pilot. Greenberg plays Rick Dodsen, "Ted Black's protege in the entertainment division of Black Lane Law. Slated to be promoted, Rick is determined to stay one step ahead of his rival, Erica Rollins (Davis)." And Alice Lee will guest star as Leah, "a young associate attorney at Black Lane Law who has been assigned to work with (or, as it turns out, for) entertainment attorney Erica Rollins." UNTITLED BRAD INGELSBY TASK FORCE PROJECT (HBO) - The Mark Ruffalo-led drama has tapped the following actors to recur: Raphael Sbarge as Police Chief Dorsey, "who oversees a multi-unit operation to assist FBI Agent Tom (Ruffalo) and the team in their search"; Mickey Sumner as Shelley Driscoll, "who is desperate to escape her husband Ray"; Brian Goodman as Vincent Hawkes, "one of the 13 National Leaders of a dangerous biker gang"; Elvis Nolasco as Freddy Frias, "the savvy and ruthless captain of Philadelphia's largest drug trafficking organization"; and Colin Bates as Shane McReynolds, "the Sergeant-At-Arms of a dangerous biker gang and a member of Jayson's inner circle." WHITE LOTUS, THE (HBO) - Charlotte Le Bon has been cast in the show's third season, replacing Francesca Corney. Said report indicates the decision was after "producers felt they needed someone who played older." (Deadline.com, 3/15)
X-MEN '97 (Disney+) - Creator Beau DeMayo has been fired from the series. "His company email was deactivated and cast and crew were informed he was no longer on the project. DeMayo's Instagram account, once a source for X-Men updates, was deleted. No reason for the firing was given," according to said report. (THR.com, 3/12)
YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS (Apple TV+) - Amanda Peet has joined the Jon Hamm-led drama in a yet-to-be-revealed role. In addition, Craig Gillespie is set to direct the first two episodes and executive produce. (Deadline.com, 3/14)
