BIRTHRIGHT (Netflix, New!) - Marissa Jo Cerar has sold a new drama to the streamer in which "journalist Maya James is stunned when she is made heir to one of the largest and most profitable liquor businesses in America, but it's a gift that upends her life as she uncovers the many secrets buried by her benefactors." BUTTERFLY (Amazon) - Louis Landau has joined the cast of the Daniel Dae Kim-led drama as Oliver, "a smart, cunning intelligence operative. Oliver was raised in the deadly world of international espionage and has the drive and desire to succeed and earn the validation of his dominant, withholding mother, who happens to be his boss. But he has a weak streak and a bit of the softness that sometimes comes with a privileged upbringing." (Deadline.com, 3/27)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Jocelyn Hudon will recur on the series as a new paramedic. The role has an option to become a series regular. Her addition is designed to help fill the void left by departing cast members Kara Killmer and Rome Flynn. (Deadline.com, 3/29)
CHOSEN, THE (Angel App) - Filming is set to begin next month on a fifth season of the series. Season four, which was recently released theatrically, will "next go to "The Chosen" app, followed by home video and third-party broadcast and streamer outlets." (Variety.com, 3/25)
DANIEL X: GENESIS (Amazon, New!) - James Patterson Entertainment has set up a one-hour drama series at Amazon MGM Studios billed as "an expansion of Patterson's "Daniel X" series." No auspices were given. (Variety.com, 3/26)

EMILY IN PARIS (Netflix) - Creator Darren Star has signed a multi-year overall deal at Universal Television, ending his decade-long run at Paramount Global. He'll nevertheless continue as executive producer/showrunner of the Netflix series. (Deadline.com, 3/27)
EUPHORIA (HBO) - The pay channel has confirmed production has been pushed until next year on the show's long-in-the-works third season. "HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season," a spokesperson told the publication. "In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities." FIREBUG (Apple TV+) - John Leguizamo will star alongside Taron Egerton in the drama as Esposito, "a former policeman with a lot of bad habits and a lot of good instincts." Additionally, Kari Skogland will direct and serve as executive producer. (Deadline.com, 3/27)
FLIP SIDE (Syndication) - CBS Media Ventures has inked a deal Game Show Enterprises Studios to co-produce the Jaleel White-hosted series. Episodes will initially roll out in syndication this fall followed by a second run on Game Show Network. (Deadline.com, 3/28)
FOUND (NBC) - Dionne Gipson will recur on the show's second season as "a character who is close to Gabi (Shanola Hampton)." (Deadline.com, 3/29)
HARLEM (Amazon) - The show's third season has tapped the following actors to recur: Kofi Siriboe as Seth, "an MLB player whose confident, charmin, and sweet mannerisms land him a spot in one of the ladies' hearts"; Logan Browning as Portia, "an edgy and beautiful woman from Ian's (Tyler Lepley) childhood, whose return to Harlem causes a stir"; Robin Givens as Jacqueline, "Eva's no-nonsense mother"; and Gail Bean as "Given's daughter Eva, a driven, yet playful, venture capitalist who has started working with Tye (Jerrie Johnson)." HOT WHITE HEIST (Amazon, New!) - Alan Cumming is among the auspices for a proposed half-hour comedy series based on the podcast which "follows a crew of misfits from across the LGBTQ+ spectrum as they attempt the stickiest heist in history." John Riggi and Adam Goldman are attached to pen the script and executive produce alongside Cumming for Amazon MGM Studios and Broadway Video (Variety.com, 3/26)
INVASION (Apple TV+) - Erika Alexander has joined the cast of the new season while Ashton Sanders and Eric Lang are slated to recur. No details about their roles were released. (Deadline.com, 3/29)
LINCOLN LAWYER, THE (Netflix) - Jon Tenney will return as Mickey Haller, Sr. on the show's third season with the following actors recurring: Michael Irby as James De Marco, "a decorated DEA agent whom Mickey suspects may have a sinister link to one of his cases"; Maisie Klompus as Annabeth Stephens, "a neighbor of the late Giselle Dallinger"; and Wolé Parks as David Lyons, "the longtime partner of Mickey's client Julian La Cosse, who has been accused of the murder." MAESTRO IN BLUE (Netflix) - The Greek drama series is officially a go for a second season, due on May 16. (Deadline.com, 3/26)

MR. PLANKTON (Netflix) - Alex Landi has joined the cast of the upcoming romantic dramedy in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Deadline.com, 3/29)
NCIS: ORIGINS (CBS) - Tyla Abercrumbie and Diany Rodriguez will round out the cast of the prequel series. Abercrumbie will play Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo "who is both a product of her time and the lifeblood of the Camp Pendleton office. With all the acronyms floating around the agency, this mama bear has wryly dubbed herself "HSIC": Head Secretary in Charge. If you want to know where the bodies are buried, Mary Jo's the one to ask." And Rodriguez will portray Special Agent Vera Strickland, "a no-nonsense, sharp-witted Brooklynite who's tough as nails and never minces words. She's spent her entire career being underestimated by misogynistic morons (as she calls them), but if it's a fight those good ol' boys are looking for, then it's a fight they're going to get." NIGHT AGENT, THE (Netflix) - Marwan Kenzari, Elise Kibler and Dikran Tulaine will all guest star on the new season as Reza, "a decorated soldier court marshalled for another man's crime, who's been given the opportunity to be a night agent"; Sloane, "a glamorous British socialite, the girlfriend of the wealthy Tomás Bala (Rob Heaps)"; and Viktor, "a smart, dangerous and manipulative man who was once the leader of his country, but has since been convicted of war crimes," respectively. NUT JOBS (Amazon, New!) - Aaron Korsh and Rick Muirragui are spearheading a new drama based on the Australian podcast which "explores a rabbit-hole of crime syndicates, stolen identities and private investigators that will change the way we think about food forever." ORACLE (Amazon, New!) - Jordan Feiner is developing a new a one-hour drama series based on the Canadian podcast "following an FBI psychic who helps solve abductions and homicides by touching those close to the missing persons." PROPHECY, THE (Amazon, New!) - Amazon MGM Studios is developing a one-hour drama series based on the podcast billed as "a supernatural thriller set against the backdrop of worldwide, unexplainable natural disasters." Randy McKinnon is penning the project, which has ABC Signature, Kerry Washington's Simpson Street, QCODE and Station26 also producing. (Variety.com, 3/26)
PULSE (Netflix) - The medical procedural has cast the following quintet: Jack Bannon as Tom Cole, "a witty and charming Brit who came to Miami for the excellent trauma program, but also for the lifestyle that Miami offers"; Jessie T. Usher as Sam Elijah, "a thoughtful and altruistic doctor who, under his calm and considered demeanor, has a competitive edge"; Chelsea Muirhead as Sophie Chan, "smart and capable and willing to endure anything in her quest to become a great surgeon"; Daniela Nieves as Camila Perez, "a third-year medical student who, despite long hours and an endless workload, always manages to stay optimistic"; and Jessy Yates as Harper, "a second-year Emergency Medicine resident and wheelchair user, Harper is self-assured, introspective, and is the younger sister of Danny Simms." STAR TREK: STARFLEET ACADEMY (Paramount+) - Production on the series is set to begin this summer in Toronto. Producers have also confirmed the spin-off will be set in the 32nd century, home of the time displaced "Star Trek: Discovery" crew. Additionally, the series will feature the largest single set ever created for the franchise: a "central academic atrium, a sprawling, two-story structure that will include a mess hall, amphitheater, trees, catwalks, multiple classrooms and a striking view of the Golden Gate Bridge in a single, contiguous space." TERMINAL LIST, THE: DARK WOLF (Amazon) - The spin-off series has tapped the following to recur: Robert Wisdom as Jed Haverford, "a CIA spymaster with a storied career behind him and one final mission ahead of him"; Shiraz Tzarfati as Tal Varon, "a fierce young, rebellious team member who has given up her desk job to work in the field under her mentor Eliza Perash"; and Rona-Lee Shim'on as Eliza Perash, "a veteran Mossad operator tasked with co-leading the team alongside Haverford." WILL TRENT (ABC) - John Ortiz is slated to recur on the series as "Will's (Ramon Rodriguez) maternal uncle Antonio Miranda.
