Geeked Week 2024 Culminates With First-Ever Live In-Person Event
Geeked Week 2024 Live brought thousands of fans together in person for a special two-hour event in Atlanta that streamed for millions around the world on YouTube, Twitch and X.
In its fourth year, Geeked Week returned bigger than ever, giving current and new fans breaking news and special exclusives on more than a dozen series including Avatar: The Last Airbender, Black Mirror, Wednesday and Squid Game. Speaking of Squid Game, we also showcased big upcoming games like Squid Game: Unleashed and Monument Valley 3. (Find out more about our latest games here.) And we unveiled never-before-seen clips and trailers from upcoming must-see movies like Don't Move, It's What's Inside and The Platform 2.
The show was hosted by Joe Manganiello, who announced that he will play the iconic villain Mr. 0 in the highly anticipated upcoming second season of One Piece alongside Lera Abova (Bumper in Berlin) as Miss All Sunday. Cobra Kai stars Jacob Bertrand and Xolo Maridueña emceed our Fan Zone Pod Stage, where they broke down the latest trailers and clips and spoke to fans on the ground throughout the show.
There were also special appearances from Alycia Debnam-Carey (It's What's Inside), Brittany O'Grady (It's What's Inside), Charlie Brooker (Black Mirror), Dallas Liu (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Finn Wittrock (Don't Move), Gavin Leatherwood (It's What's Inside), Ian Ousley (Avatar: The Last Airbender), James Morosini (It's What's Inside), Jeff Ward (One Piece), Kelsey Asbille (Don't Move), Kirby (The Sandman), Kofi Kingston (WWE), Matt Owens (One Piece), Tom Sturridge (The Sandman), Xavier Woods (WWE) and Zack Snyder (Twilight of the Gods and Rebel Moon), among others.
We kicked things off with Geeked Goodies, a live-streamed, interactive version of Red Light, Green Light where the internet controls Young Hee LIVE. Players online around the globe decoded the clues to turn the Squid Game doll around and unleash giveaway prizes like real props from Squid Game and Netflix-themed merch and prizes like One Piece Luffy straw hats, 3 Body Problem headsets, and tickets to see Stranger Things: The First Shadow on Broadway.
During Geeked Week 2024 Live, attendees took part in experiences like Geeked Trivia Battle, Cosplay Showcase, the Netflix Has Games Lounge and the Geeked Hall of Fandom, which was voted on by fans and honored individuals across four major categories: Best Fan Art, Best Fan Craft, Best Fan Transformation and Best Fan Moment.
