Starting Over' Scores Best Ratings Ever with an Average of 1.6 Million Viewers Per Episode

"STARTING OVER" SCORES BEST RATINGS EVER WITH AN AVERAGE OF 1.6 MILLION VIEWERS PER EPISODE

"Maury" Scores Season-High Ratings in Key Women Demos

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- February 23, 2005 -- NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's "Starting Over" scored its best ratings ever in households, total viewers and key demos and "Maury" hit season-best ratings with key women demos during the week of February 7, 2005, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

"Starting Over" scored its best ratings since the debut of the series with a 1.3HH, up 18% over the previous week and up 30% over the same week last year. The series also hit a series best in total viewers with an average of 1.6 million viewers per episode, up 16% over the previous week and up 32% over the same week last year. "Starting Over" also tied its season-best ratings with Women 18-34 (1.1), up 38% over the same week last year, tied its series best rating with Women 18-49 (1.1), up 38% over the same week last year and hit its best-ever rating with Women 25-54 (1.2), up 50% over the same week last year.

"Maury" scored a new season-high with Women 18-34 (2.7), up 23% over the previous week and up 13% over the same week last year, while tying season best ratings with Women 18-49 (2.3), up 15% over the same week last year and with Women 25-54 (2.1), up 24% over the same week last year.

NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's current first-run syndicated programming includes the upcoming Martha Stewart series, "Access Hollywood," "Starting Over," "The Jane Pauley Show," "The Chris Matthews Show," "Home Delivery," "Blind Date," "The Jerry Springer Show," "Maury," "The George Michael Sports Machine," "Rebecca's Garden," "Your Total Health," "The Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo" and the off-network syndication sales of NBC's "Fear Factor," "Providence," "Crossing Jordan," "Boomtown" and "Ed," the "Law & Order" franchise and numerous other NBC Universal Television programs.
