CBS Sweeps The Night In All Key Measures
CBS's freshman drama CRIMINAL MINDS hit series high ratings in its regular Wednesday time period in viewers and key demographics while posting CBS's best performance in the time period in all key measures since Feb. 2003, according to preliminary Nielsen affiliate ratings for Nov. 2.
CRIMINAL MINDS easily won its time period in households (10.4/16), viewers (16.30m), adults 18-49 (4.9/12) and adults 25-54 (6.3/14). CRIMINAL MINDS beat NBC and ABC combined in viewers � 16.30m vs. 15.22m, +7%. Compared to the last first run episode (10/19/05), CRIMINAL MINDS was up +22% in households (from 8.5/12), +27% in viewers (from 12.79m), +26% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/09) and +31% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/10).
CRIMINAL MINDS posted Wednesday series highs in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. This is CBS's best delivery in the time period with regularly scheduled programming in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since 2/26/03, the night Dan Rather interviewed Saddam Hussein on "60 Minutes II". CRIMINAL MINDS was the night's #1 program in viewers and adults 25-54 and #2 behind CSI: NY in adults 18-49.
At 10:00 PM, CSI: NY was first in households (10.4/17), viewers (15.29m), adults 18-49 (5.2/14) and adults 25-54 (6.2/16). CSI: NY easily topped a first-run "Law & Order" by +22% in viewers (vs. 12.55m), +30% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.0/11) and +24% in adults 25-54 (vs. 5.0/12).
CBS placed first on Wednesday in viewers (12.98m), adults 25-54 (5.1/12) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11).
