SEASON OPENER GARNERS HIGHEST SERIES PREMIERE RATINGS EVER FOR A WEDNESDAY NIGHT
NEW YORK � December 8, 2005 � The two-hour second season premiere of Bravo's Emmy-nominated series "Project Runway" became the highest rated series premiere ever on a Wednesday night in the history of the network while shattering the ratings from the first season opener. More than one million total viewers tuned in to see sixteen designers competing in design challenges for the opportunity to show a line at New York Fashion Week.
"We are thrilled with the response to the new season," said Lauren Zalaznick, President of Bravo. "The audience build over the two-hours proves that the second season offers just as much quality and drama, if not more, than our Emmy-nominated inaugural season."
On the day of the premiere, BravoTV.com witnessed a spike to 100,000 unique visitors. This is up from the average of 45,000 on a typical day, generating one sixth of the average monthly traffic to the site in just one day. The site also garnered 1.3 million page views.
� Versus the season one premiere, last night's episode (10P-12A) averaged a 1.0HH coverage rating, 924,000 total viewers (up 161% versus the season one premiere), 686,000 adults 18-49 (up 213%), 599,000 P25-54 (up 169%) and 423,000 adults 18-34 (up 136%)
� Wednesday premiere scores the highest ratings ever for a Wednesday night series premiere among the key P18-34 and P18-49 demographics.
� 1,036,000 total viewers from 10:45 p.m. 11:00 p.m. quarter hour was the peak audience
� The adult 18-49 audience grew from 674,000 in the first hour to 698,000 in the second hour and the adult 18-34 audience grew from 410,000 to 435,000
� Bravo delivered its second best Wednesday night (8P-12A) adults 18-49 audience in its history last night with an average audience of 521,000. The night ranked second only to the night of the "Project Runway" season one finale on February 23, 2005.
� The night also ranked as the second best among women 18-34 (229,000), women 18-49 (418,000), and women 25-54 (363,000).
� "Project Runway's" season two premiere drew the second largest Wednesday 10P-12A audience in Bravo's history among adults 18-34 (423,000), adults 18-49 (686,000), adults 25-54 (599,000), and total viewers (924,000). Only the night of the "Project Runway" season one finale ranked higher in this time period.
"Project Runway" airs every Wendesday at 10:00 p.m. on Bravo.
