"CSI: NY" Delivers Its Second Largest Audience of the Season
"Criminal Minds" Dominates Its Time Period in Viewers and Demos
CBS placed first on Wednesday in viewers and key demographics as CSI: NY delivered its second highest ratings of the season, topping ABC and NBC combined, while CRIMINAL MINDS dominated its time period in all measures, according to final national Nielsen ratings for Dec. 14.
CSI: NY was first in households (10.8/18), viewers (16.49m), adults 25-54 (6.9/17), adults 18-49 (5.5/15) and adults 18-34 (4.0/12). CSI: NY easily topped "Law & Order" (R) and "Alias" special combined in households (vs. 10.3/17, +5%), viewers (vs. 15.02m, +10%), adults 18-49 (vs. 5.3/14, +4%) and adults 25-54 (vs. 6.4/16, +8%). CSI: NY scored its second best delivery of the season in households, viewers and adults 25-54, matched its second best adults 18-49 performance � all behind November's CSI: MIAMI crossover.
CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (9.9/16), viewers (15.23m), adults 25-54 (6.0/14), adults 18-49 (4.7/12) and adults 18-49 (3.5/11). CRIMINAL MINDS posted its second best adults 18-34 delivery, matched its second best household performance and scored its third best adults 18-49 (-0.1 behind two episodes tied for first) and adults 25-54 (-0.1 behind two episodes tied for first).
CRIMINAL MINDS more than doubled the penultimate episode of "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" by +124% in adults 18-49 (vs. 2.1/06), +140% in adults 25-54 (vs. 2.5/06), +106% in adults 18-34 (vs. 1.7/05) and by +9.5 million viewers (vs. 5.77m).
For the night, CBS was first in households (8.5/14), viewers (13.06m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13), adults 18-49 (4.2/12) and adults 18-34 (3.2/10).
