HALLMARK CHANNEL CELEBRATES BEST-EVER DECEMBER AND 4TH QUARTER
Network Ranks Among Top 10 Cable Networks in Both Prime Time and Total Day Household Ratings
Hallmark Channel has experienced its best-ever December and 4th Quarter, with HH
ratings for both periods ranking amongst the Top 10 ad-supported cable networks in
Prime Time and Total Day. The network showed particularly strong growth in the
coveted Adults and Women 18-49 demos.
The extraordinary performance is due in part to the network�s annual Original
holiday movies, including this year�s �Meet the Santas,� which was the network�s
highest-rated telecast ever, as well as strategic scheduling tactics and an aggressive
slate of high-quality original programming.
In December 2005, Hallmark Channel delivered its highest-ever-rated week, day,
weekend and telecast. The network ranks #9 in Prime Time HH ratings (1.4). Year-toyear,
in Prime Time, Hallmark Channel delivered several all-time highs, including:
� 1.4 HH rating (up +8%)
� 977,000 homes (up +19%)
� 454,000 A25-54 (up +8%)
� 335,000 A18-49 (up +11%)
� 222,000 W18-49 (up +3%)
Hallmark Channel ranks #10 in Total Day HH ratings (0.8) and experienced several
all-time highs in Total Day (Dec �05 vs. Dec �04), including:
� 571,000 homes (up +16%)
� 270,000 A25-54 (up +5%)
� 202,000 A18-49 (up +9%)
� 161,000 W25-54 (up +3%)
� 123,000 W18-49 (up +4%)
For the 4th quarter, Hallmark Channel ranks #10 in both Prime Time and Total Day
HH ratings (1.2 and 0.7, respectively). Year-to-year, the network once again
experienced a record number of all-time highs in both Prime Time and Total Day,
including:
� 1.2 HH rating in Prime Time (up +33%); 0.7 HH rating in Total Day (up +17%)
� 819,000 homes in PT (up +37%); 520,000 homes in TD (up +27%)
� 355,000 A25-54 in PT (up +16%); 236,000 A25-54 in TD (up +10%)
� 256,000 A18-49 in PT (up +21%); 177,000 A18-49 in TD (up +16%)
� 212,000 W25-54 in PT (up +10%); 134,000 W25-54 in TD (up +6%)
� 158,000 W18-49 in PT (up +18%); 104,000 W18-49 in TD (up +12%)
