ABC continued to produced improved results over last year, posting increases of 1.2 million viewers (9.4 million vs. 8.2 million) and by 17% in Adults 18-49 (3.4/9 vs. 2.9/8) over the same week last year (w/o 3/14/05). It was the 8th time in 9 weeks that ABC has been up over the comparable week last year on both Nielsen measures. ABC earned second place during the week across each of the key women demographics [Women 18-34 (3.4/10), Women 18-49 (4.2/11) and Women 25-54 (4.9/11)] and Teens 12-17 (1.8/6).
� Season to date ABC has increased its primetime delivery by 1.0 million viewers (11.4 million vs. 10.4 million) and by 11% in Adults 18-49 (4.2/11 vs. 3.8/10) over the same point a year ago. In addition, ABC is the only network to build its audience this season on either Nielsen measure.
Rankings: During the week of March 13, 2006, ABC aired 3 of the week�s Top 10 TV programs among in Adults 18-49, including the No. 1 scripted series with �Grey�s Anatomy�: �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 3 (No. 1 scripted), �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� � No. 5 and �American Inventor� � No. 9. The Net claimed 3 of the Top 15 most-watched programs, with �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 3, �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� � No. 8 and �American Inventor� � No. 13.
Monday
Monday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)
With its new Monday night lineup, ABC won the night among Women 18-34 (4.7/12). It was the third straight week that ABC led the night among Women 18-34, its 7th occasion in the past 8 weeks. Similarly to last week, each of ABC�s programs on the evening, �Wife Swap,� �Supernanny� and �Miracle Workers,� built viewer and young adult audience during the course of their respective broadcasts. ABC was up from the prior week among Total Viewers (9.3 million vs. 9.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (3.7/9 vs. 3.6/9).
� The Network�s Monday lineup continued to produce increased returns over last year. ABC was up from the same night last year (3/14/05) by 1.6 million viewers (9.3 million vs. 7.7 million) and by 28% in Adults 18-49 (3.7/9 vs. 2.9/7).
�Wife Swap� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
In the opening hour of the night, ABC�s �Wife Swap� took second place in its time period among Adults 18-34 (3.3/10).
� �Wife Swap� was up week to week in viewers (9.2 million vs. 8.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (3.7/10 vs. 3.5/9).
�Supernanny� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
For the second week in a row, ABC�s �Supernanny� took first place in the hour among Women 18-34, well ahead of its nearest competition (+18% = 5.2/12 vs. 4.4/10 � Fox�s �24�). The ABC unscripted program took second place in its time period among Adults 18-34, beating NBC�s competing reality series, �The Apprentice,� by 9% (3.6/9 vs. 3.3/9).
�Miracle Workers� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
On just its second ever telecast, ABC�s �Miracle Workers� defeated NBC�s established series in the 10 o�clock hour among Adults 18-34, topping �Medium� by 24% (3.6/10 vs. 2.9/8). The new ABC unscripted series also held second place in the time slot among Women 18-34 (4.9/13) and Men 18-34 (2.3/7), beating �Medium� on both counts.
� �Miracle Workers� was up nicely from its week-earlier series debut. The program grew by 6% in Total Viewers (9.1 million vs. 8.6 million), by 9% in Adults 18-49 (3.7/9 vs. 3.4/9) and by 20% in Adults 18-34 (3.6/10 vs. 3.0/9).
Thursday
Thursday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)
With an impressive turnout for the series debut of �American Inventor,� ABC won Thursday night among Total Viewers (12.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.7/13). In viewers and young adults, it was ABC�s first win on the night, during the course of a TV Season -- without sports -- in over 3 years, since 2/6/03, the night of the Michael Jackson special. Furthermore, it was the Net�s first Adult 18-49 victory on Thursday during the TV Season with a series lineup in at least 15 years � since at least September 1991, the start of the Nielsen electronic database.
� ABC posted its second-highest numbers on the night this season among Adults 18-49 (4.7/13) and Adults 18-34 (3.7/11).
�American Inventor� (8:00-10:01 p.m.)
The series debut of �American Inventor� dominated its 2-hour time period, leading its nearest competition by 3.5 million viewers (14.2 million vs. 10.7 million � CBS� NCAA Basketball Coverage) and by 42% in Adults 18-49 (5.4/15 vs. 3.8/11 � NBC�s original comedy line-up). In fact, ABC led each half-hour from 8:00-10:00 p.m. in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. �American Inventor� exhibited broad demographic appeal, also winning its time slot among Adults 25-54 (6.2/15), Adults 18-34 (4.3/13), Teens 12-17 (2.8/9) and Kids 2-11 (2.3/8). The ABC unscripted program saw its audience build substantially from its first half-hour to its final half-hour, growing by 2.7 million viewers (12.6 million to 15.3 million) and by 44% in Adults 18-49 (4.3/13 to 6.2/16). �American Inventor� stood as Thursday night�s most-watched TV program.
� �American Inventor� was a strong draw among young adults. The premiere telecast provided ABC with its highest Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 numbers with series programming in the time period in more than 5 years � since 11/16/00 and 12/28/00, respectively.
� �American Inventor� started out with stronger numbers than the debut telecast of �American Idol,� outpacing the opening installment of the Fox hit in June 2002 by 4.3 million viewers and by 13% in Adults 18-49 (�Idol� debut on 6/11/02 = 9.9 million viewers & 4.8/14 in AD18-49).
�Primetime� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)
Capitalizing on its lead-in, ABC News� �Primetime� took second place to NBC�s �ER� during the 10 o�clock hour in the women demographics: W18-34 (2.9/8), W18-49 (3.810) and W25-54 (4.4/10).
� �Primetime� posted its second-highest ratings this season among young adults: AD18-34 (2.3/7) and AD18-49 (3.2/9).
Sunday
Sunday Primetime (7:00-11:00 p.m.)
For the fourth week in a row, ABC won Sunday night in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. ABC topped its nearest competitors by 2.7 million viewers (15.2 million vs. 12.5 million � CBS) and by 79% in Adults 18-49 (6.1/15 vs. 3.4/8 � CBS). ABC won 7 of 8 half-hours of the evening among young adults. ABC also took first place on the night among Adults 25-54 (6.8/15), Adults 18-34 (5.1/15), Teens 12-17 (3.3/11) and Kids 2-11 (2.2/9).
� ABC aired the Top 3 TV programs on Sunday among Adults 18-49, with �Grey�s Anatomy,� �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� and �Desperate Housewives.�
� Compared to the same Sunday a year ago (3/20/05), ABC�s delivery grew by 3.8 million viewers (15.2 million vs. 11.4 million) and by 49% in Adults 18-49 (6.1/15 vs. 4.1/10).

ABC�s �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� won its regular 8 o�clock time period by 2% in viewers (16.2 million vs. 15.9 million � CBS� �60 Minutes�/�Cold Case�) and by 64% in Adults 18-49 (6.4/16 vs. 3.9/10 � Fox�s �The Simpsons�/�The War at Home�).
�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
ABC�s repeat telecast of �Desperate Housewives� ranked No. 1 during the 9 o�clock hour among Total Viewers (13.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (5.2/12). ABC�s replay �Desperate Housewives� led its time period by 2% (13.6 million vs. 13.3 million � CBS� �Cold Case�/�Sunday Movie�) and by 44% among Adults 18-49 (5.2/12 vs. 3.6/8 � CBS� �Cold Case�/�Sunday Movie�).
� �Desperate Housewives� was up by 1.2 million viewers (13.6 million vs. 12.4 million) and by 6% among Adults 18-49 (5.2/12 vs. 4.9/11) compared to its average for repeats this season.
�Grey�s Anatomy� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� outperformed CBS and NBC combined during the final hour of primetime. In its time period, �Grey�s� topped the combined deliveries of CBS (Sunday Movie) and NBC (�Crossing Jordan�) by 2.9 million viewers (21.1 million vs. 18.2 million) and by 86% in Adults 18-49 (9.3/23 vs. 5.0/12).
