LOS ANGELES, September 7, 2006 � Tuesday night�s season four premiere episode (10-11:10 PM) of FX�s award-winning hit series Nip/Tuck picked up right where it left off last season: basic cable�s #1 ranked series in delivery of Adults 18-49.
The fourth season got off to a terrific start by delivering 4.8 million total viewers and 3.4 million Adults 18-49, which mark increases of +25% in total viewers and +26% among Adults 18-49 versus season three averages.
The delivery of 3.4 million Adults 18-49 for Tuesday�s season four premiere of Nip/Tuck ranks as basic cable�s #1 rated season premiere in that demo for 2006, and also ranks #1 (tie) in delivery of Adults 18-34 among basic cable season premieres in 2006. In 2006, FX now has four of the top eight season premieres in delivery of Adults 18-49 (Nip/Tuck, #1, 3.4 million; Black. White., #2, 2.8 million; The Shield, #6tie, 2.3 million; and Rescue Me, #8, 2.2 million).
It ranks as the fourth highest delivery of Adults 18-49 for an episode of series television on FX, just behind Nip/Tuck�s third season finale (3.9 million), its season three premiere (3.7 million) and its second season finale (3.6 million). Nip/Tuck�s delivery of 4.8 million total viewers ties with the series premiere of The Shield for the fourth most-watched episode of a series on FX.
FX has ordered 15 episodes for season four, with a brand new episodes airing every Tuesday at 10 PM through December 12. FX will repeat each episode Tuesdays at 11 PM, Fridays at 11 PM and Sundays at 10 PM.
Nip/Tuck moved into the time slot previously occupied Rescue Me, which recently closed out its third season on a high note by registering increases of +7% in total viewers (3.0 million) and +6% among Adults 18-49 (1.9 million) for its complete third season. Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me and The Shield continue rank among the top ten basic cable series in delivery of Adults 18-49.

and Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon), two plastic surgeons, best friends and business partners
who run McNamara/Troy, a South Beach plastic surgery practice. Both share a love for the same woman, Julia McNamara (Joely Richardson), and seek personal happiness and professional success

Last season, Nip/Tuck completed 2005 as the #1 ranked series among all basic cable series in delivery of Adults 18-49 ratings. The season three finale was the most-watched single episode of a series ever for FX, ranking #1 among Adults 18-49 (3.9 million) and Total Viewers (5.7 million).
