ABC Tops Thursday in Adults 18-49 for the Third Week in a Row

ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" is Thursday's No. 1 Show in Viewers and All Key Adults

ABC's "Ugly Betty" Continues to Run a Strong Second to "Survivor" in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, While Leading its Hour by 19% Among Women 18-34

"Grey's Anatomy" Tops "C.S.I." by Over 1 Million Viewers and Beats the CBS Veteran for the Third Straight Week in the Key Adult 18-49 Sales Demographic

ABC's "Six Degrees" Beats CBS' "Shark" in the 10 O'clock Hour in Young Adults And Women, Growing the Time Slot by 71% in Viewers and by 125% in Adults 18-49

Thursday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)

For the third week in a row, ABC won Thursday night among Adults 18-49, outpacing CBS by 5% (5.8/15 vs. 5.5/15). ABC was again the No. 1 network on the evening with Adults 18-34 (5.4/16) and the top draw across the key women demographics: W18-34 (7.7/21), W18-49 (8.4/21) & W25-54 (9.4/21).

* ABC is seeing enormous gains on Thursday this season. Versus the first three weeks last season, ABC's Thursday night performance is up by 9.3 million viewers (16.5 million vs. 7.2 million) and by 191% in Adults 18-49 (6.4/17 vs. 2.2/6).

"Ugly Betty" (8:00-9:00 p.m.) In its second telecast, "Ugly Betty" continued to be a big to draw for ABC in the opening hour of Thursday night in Total Viewers (14.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.4/13), taking a strong second to CBS' time period veteran "Survivor" on both counts. In the hour the ABC freshman moved ahead of the CBS veteran among Adults 18-34 (3.7/12 vs. 3.6/11), holding a close second to NBC's comedies (3.9/12) in the hour. "Betty" ranked a strong No. 1 in the hour among Women 18-34, beating out second-place "Survivor" by 19% (5.7/16 vs. 4.8/14). From start to finish, "Ugly Betty" saw its audience swell by 2.3 million viewers (13.0 million to 15.3 million) and by 26% in Adults 18-49 (3.9/12 to 4.9/13).

* In just its first two telecasts, "Ugly Betty" has improved the time period for ABC by 96% in Total Viewers (15.3 million vs. 7.8 million) and by 88% in Adults 18-49 (4.7/14 vs. 2.5/7) over the same nights last year.

"Grey's Anatomy" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" drew a larger audience than "C.S.I." and beat the CBS drama for the third straight week in the key adult sales demographic. In the time 9 o'clock time period, "Grey's" topped "C.S.I." by 1.3 million viewers (22.5 million vs. 21.2 million) and widened its winning advantage this week over the CBS time period veteran to 28% in Adults 18-49 (9.2/23 vs. 7.2/18).

* In addition to ranking as the No. 1 TV program on Thursday in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" was once again Thursdays top-rated program Adults 18-34 (8.7/24) and Adults 25-54 (10.0/23).

* In Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, "Grey's" is generating ABC's strongest scripted series numbers in the time period in at least 15 years - since at least September of 1991, the start of the Nielsen electronic database.

"Six Degrees" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

During the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's "Six Degrees" outpaced its CBS drama competition ("Shark") among Adults 18-49 (3.9/10) and Adults 18-34 (3.7/11), as well as across the key women demographics: W18-34 (5.1/14), W18-49 (5.6/14) and W25-54 (6.3/15). In Adults 18-34, "Six Degrees" beat out "Shark" by 48% (3.7/11 vs. 2.5/7).

* On average over the course of its first 3 airings, "Six Degrees" has improved ABC's performance in the hour by 71% in Total Viewers (10.8 million vs. 6.3 million) and by 125% in Adults 18-49 (4.5/12 vs. 2.0/5) over the same nights last season.
