CRIMINAL MINDS beat "Lost" in households for the first time ever and finished in a near dead heat with "Lost" in viewers in the 9:00-10:00 PM hour and attracted more viewers than "Lost" from 9:30-10:00 PM, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 11.
CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (10.9/16), in a virtual tie for first in viewers (16.48m, -180,000 behind "Lost") and a strong second in adults 25-54 (6.1/14) and adults 18-49 (4.4/11). From 9:30-10:00PM, "Criminal Minds" beat lost in viewers (16.98m vs. 16.35m, +4%).
CRIMINAL MINDS finished in its closest competitive position ever against a first run episode of "Lost" in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 and this is the first time CRIMINAL MINDS ever topped a first run "Lost" in households.
This is CRIMINAL MINDS's best delivery ever on a Wednesday in households and is the second best viewer delivery (just -70,000 behind 9/27/06). Compared to last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +9% in households (from 10.0/15), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 5.5/13), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 4.2/10) and added +1.29m viewers (from 15.19m, +8%).
CBS's freshman drama JERICHO was second in households (7.0/11), viewers (10.90m), adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09). Compared to last week, JERICHO was up +3% in households (from 6.8/11) and +1% in viewers (from 10.83m).
At 10PM, CSI: NY was first in households (11.5/19), viewers (17.71m), adults 25-54 (7.1/17) and adults 18-49 (5.9/16). This is CSI: NY's best delivery in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since 11/9/05 (the cross-over with CSI: MIAMI). Compared to last week, CSI: NY was up +12% in households (from 10.3/17), +18% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/15), +20% in adults 18-49 (from 4.9/14) and added +1.98m viewers (from 15.73m, +13%).
Compared to the same night last year, CBS posted gains of +21% in viewers, +13% in adults 18-49 and +16% in adults 25-54.
For the night, CBS was first in households (9.8/15), viewers (15.03m), adults 25-54 (5.8/14) and second in adults 18-49 (4.5/12, -0.3 behind ABC).

At 10PM, CSI: NY was first in households (11.6/19), viewers (17.97m), adults 25-54 (7.2/18) and adults 18-49 (6.0/16). This is CSI: NY's best delivery in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since 11/9/05 (the cross-over with CSI: MIAMI). Compared to last week, CSI: NY was up +13% in households (from 10.3/17), +20% in adults 25-54 (from 6.0/15), +22% in adults 18-49 (from 4.9/14) and added +2.24m viewers (from 15.73m, +14%).
Compared to the same night last year, CBS posted gains of +23% in viewers, +15% in adults 18-49 and +18% in adults 25-54.
