"CSI" Up Over Last Week in Viewers and Demos and Narrows the Gap With "Grey�s Anatomy" in Adults 18-49

CBS placed first on Thursday in viewers for the fourth consecutive week, first in adults 25-54 for the third time in four weeks and narrowed the gap to just one-tenth of a rating point in adults 18-49 from first -- the Network's closest competitive position of the young season, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Oct. 12.
The fifth episode of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS won its time slot in viewers (15.74m), adults 25-54 (6.7/17), adults 18-49 (5.4/15) and, for the first time since "Ugly Betty" premiered, first in households (9.4/15). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR was up +8% in adults 18-34 (3.9/12 from 3.6/11), even in households and adults 25-54 and virtually even in viewers (from 15.82m).
SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS topped "Ugly Betty" for the third consecutive week in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.2/12, +29%), adults 25-54 (vs. 5.0/13, +34%) and viewers (vs. 13.82m, +1.92m viewers or +14%).
CSI was second in households (13.3/20), viewers (21.58m), adults 25-54 (9.1/20) and adults 18-49 (7.5/18). Compared to last week, CSI is up +1% in adults 25-54 (from 9.0/20), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 7.3/18) and +8% in adults 18-34 (5.4/14 from 5.0/14). CSI closed the gap with "Grey's Anatomy" compared to last week in both adults 25-54 (-1.0 this week from -1.2 last week) and adults 18-49 (-1.8 this week from -2.1 last week).
At 10PM, SHARK was second in households (9.2/15, -0.1 behind NBC), viewers (14.14m, -230,000 viewers behind NBC), adults 25-54 (5.3/13) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11). Compared to last week, SHARK is up +8% in adults 25-54 (from 4.9/12), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.8/10) and added +390,000 viewers (from 13.75m, +3%).
For the night, CBS was first in households (10.6/17), viewers (17.16m) and adults 25-54 (7.0/17) and second in adults 18-49 (5.6/15, -0.1 behind ABC).

Compared to last week, SURVIVOR was up +8% in adults 18-34 (3.9/12 from 3.6/11), +1% in adults 25-54 (from 6.7/17), even in households and viewers (from 15.82m).
SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS topped "Ugly Betty" for the third consecutive week in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.3/12, +28%), adults 25-54 (vs. 5.1/13, +33%) and viewers (vs. 13.95m, +1.89m viewers or +14%).
At 9PM, CSI was second in households (13.5/20), viewers (21.85m), adults 25-54 (9.1/20) and adults 18-49 (7.5/18). Compared to last week, CSI is up +1% in adults 25-54 (from 9.0/20), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 7.3/18) and +10% in adults 18-34 (5.5/15 from 5.0/14). CSI narrows the gap with "Grey's Anatomy" compared to last week in adults 18-49 (-1.9 this week from -2.1 last week).
SHARK was second in households (9.1/15), viewers (14.15m, -430,000 viewers behind NBC), adults 25-54 (5.2/13) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11). Compared to last week, SHARK is up +6% in adults 25-54 (from 4.9/12), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.8/10) and added +400,000 viewers (from 13.75m, +3%).
For the night, CBS was first in households (10.7/17), viewers (17.32m), adults 25-54 (7.1/17) and second in adults 18-49 (5.7/15, -0.1 behind ABC).
