ABC Holds the No. 1 Network Position on Thursday Among Adults 18-49 for the Fourth Straight Week

ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" is Thursday's No. 1 Show, Again Drawing More Viewers Than "C.S.I." and Beating the CBS Drama in Young Adults for the 4th Straight Week

ABC's "Ugly Betty" Continues to Cut into CBS' "Survivor" at 8pm; Beats the NBC Comedies in Viewers and Adults 18-49 and Wins the Hour with Women 18-34

ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" Surpasses "C.S.I." by 1.2 Million Viewers at 9pm and Tops the CBS Veteran Drama by 24% in the Key Adult 18-49 Sales Demographic

Retaining Nearly All of its Viewer and Young Adult Audience Week to Week, ABC's "Six Degrees" Continues to Beat CBS' "Shark" in Adults 18-34 and Improve the Slot

Thursday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)

For the fourth consecutive week, ABC qualified as the No. 1 TV network on Thursday among Adults 18-49 (5.7/15). ABC was again the No. 1 network on the evening by wide margins with Adults 18-34 (5.2/15) and the top draw across the key women demographics: W18-34 (7.4/20), W18-49 (8.2/20) & W25-54 (9.2/21).

* ABC continues to pace way ahead of its year-ago Thursday performance. Versus the first four weeks last season, ABC's Thursday night numbers have soared by 9.4 million viewers (16.2 million vs. 6.8 million) and by 186% in Adults 18-49 (6.3/16 vs. 2.2/6).

"Ugly Betty" (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

ABC's "Ugly Betty" once again cut into the delivery of CBS' "Survivor" during the opening hour on Thursday night and beat NBC's comedies ("My Name is Earl"/"The Office") in Total Viewers (13.8 million vs. 9.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.2/12 vs. 4.0/11). Compared to the same night last year (10/13/05), "Survivor" lost -2.2 million viewers (15.7 million vs. 17.9 million) and -17% in Adults 18-49 (5.4/15 vs. 6.5/18). For its third consecutive telecast, ABC's "Betty" won the 8 o'clock hour among Women 18-34 (5.1/15).

* Gathering audience throughout its telecast, "Ugly Betty" grew by 3.0 million viewers (12.3 million to 15.3 million) and by 33% in Adults 18-49 (3.6/11 to 4.8/13) from its first half-hour to its second half-hour. In fact as its audience grew, "Betty" ranked No. 1 at 8:30 p.m. in each of the women demographics: W18-34 (6.0/16), W18-49 (7.1/18) and W25-54 (8.3/19).

* In just three airings, "Ugly Betty" has improved the time period for ABC by 95% in Total Viewers (14.8 million vs. 7.6 million) and by 92% in Adults 18-49 (4.6/13 vs. 2.4/7) over the same nights last year.

* "Ugly Betty" held nearly all of its week-earlier viewers (97%) and young adults (93%), while retaining 100% of its Men 18-34 audience and growing 17% among Teens 12-17 (2.7/9 vs. 2.3/8).

"Grey's Anatomy" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" drew a larger audience than "C.S.I." for the second straight week (3 of 4 weeks), beating the CBS drama by 1.2 million viewers (22.8 million vs. 21.6 million). Leading the time period by 24% in Adults 18-49 (9.3/22 vs. 7.5/18), "Grey's" defeated "C.S.I." for the fourth straight week in the key adult sales demographic.

* In addition to ranking as the No. 1 TV program on Thursday in Total Viewers for the second week in a row, it was also the highest-rated Thursday program for the fourth straight week among Adults 18-34 (8.9/24), Adults 18-49 (9.3/22) and Adults 25-54 (10.1/22).

* "Grey's Anatomy" was up from the prior week among Adults 18-34 (8.9/24 vs. 8.8/24).

"Six Degrees" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

During the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's freshman "Six Degrees" continued to outperform its CBS freshman drama competition ("Shark") among Adults 18-34 (3.3/10), as well as across the key women demographics: W18-34 (4.5/13), W18-49 (5.2/13) and W25-54 (6.0/14). In Adults 18-34, "Six Degrees" outdelivered "Shark" by 18% (3.3/10 vs. 2.8/8).

* "Six Degrees" retained essentially all of its week-ago Total Viewer (9.1 million vs. 9.1 million) and Adult 18-49 audience (3.7/10 vs. 3.6/10), while growing its delivery with Men 18-49 (2.2/6 vs. 2.0/6) and Men 25-54 (2.4/6 vs. 2.0/6).

* On average over the course of its first 4 airings, "Six Degrees" has improved ABC's performance in the hour by 73% in Total Viewers (10.2 million vs. 5.9 million) and by 121% in Adults 18-49 (4.2/11 vs. 1.9/5) over the same nights last season.
