BRAVO HAS BEST MONTH EVER IN BRAVO HISTORY
Bravo Has Best January in Total Viewers and P18-49 In Prime
NEW YORK � January 30, 2007 � Fueled by the success of Bravo's hit series "Top Chef" and the new season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Bravo marks its best month ever in total day and its highest-rated January in history in total viewers and P18-49 in prime.
According to recently-released numbers from Nielsen Research, the network posted its best total day ratings in history, earning 314,000 total viewers and 188,000 P18-49, increases of +27% and +33% respectively over January 2006. Additionally, Bravo improved its year-to-year January performance for the prime 8-11PM time period by 38% in total viewers and 44% in P18-49.
Bravo's popular culinary competition, "Top Chef," ranked as the No. 1 rated food series in all of cable television, averaging 2.7 million total viewers and 1.9 million P18-49 in January. And for the Wednesday 10-11PM time period, Bravo was the #1 cable network among both total viewers and P18-49 for the month of January. Season two of "Top Chef" broke multiple series records this year, averaging 2.1 million total viewers and 1.5 million P18-49 through 12 episodes. Compared to season two of "Project Runway" in its first twelve weeks, "Top Chef" is up +32% among total viewers and +29% among P18-49.
Also benefiting from a strong performance in January was the second season premiere of Bravo's hit docu-soap series "Real Housewives of Orange County," with two new episodes averaging one million total viewers. Compared to season one, the series improved by a whopping +189% season to season.
Viewers continue to log on to Bravotv.com, with January earning 1.6 million unique visitors, up +52% versus January 2006, with overall visits to the site increased by 30% versus last year. The Top Chef section, the most popular area on the site, generated 700K unique visitors and 14.6 million page views in January.
