"CSI" Delivers 22.47 Million Viewers
"Shark" -- Television's Most-Watched New Series -- Places First in Viewers And Finishes in Closest Competitive Position to "ER" in Adults 18-49
CBS placed first in viewers and adults 25-54 as the second broadcast of SURVIVOR: FIJI continued to dominate its time period in viewers and key demographics and SHARK finished in its closest competitive position to "ER" in adults 18-49, according to preliminary Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for Thursday, Feb. 15.
SURVIVOR: FIJI was first in households (9.7/15), viewers (16.35m), adults 25-54 (6.8/16) and adults 18-49 (5.6/15). SURVIVOR enjoyed a +7% advantage over second place ABC in households (vs. 9.1/14), +42% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.8/12), +24% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.5/12) and +20% in viewers (vs. 13.63m, +2.72m). SURVIVOR dominated NBC's sitcoms by +73% in households (vs. 5.6/08), +58% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.3/10), +33% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.2/11) and +82% in viewers (vs. 8.97m, +7.38m).
CSI was second in households (13.7/20), viewers (22.47m), adults 25-54 (8.8/19), adults 18-49 (7.2/17) and adults 18-34 (5.0/13).
SHARK was first in households (9.8/16), viewers (15.10m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (5.4/13, with NBC) and second in adults 18-49 (4.3/12). This is SHARK's third best first-run viewer performance and third best first-run adults 18-49 delivery. SHARK finished in its closest competitive position to a first-run "ER" in adults 18-49 (-0.5 rtg pts, 4.8/13 vs. 4.3/12). SHARK started the season -2.7 rating points behind "ER" in adults 18-49.
For the night, CBS was first in households (11.1/17), viewers (17.98m), adults 25-54 (7.0/16) and second in adults 18-49 (5.7/14).
