CBS MAKES IT FIVE STRAIGHT SUMMER WEEK WINS IN VIEWERS
CBS won its fifth consecutive week of the summer (every week) in viewers and also placed first in adults 25-54 (tie) with more top 20 programs than all the other networks combined, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending July 1, week 41 of the 2006-2007 television year.
For the week in viewers, CBS (6.83m) led NBC (5.67m), FOX (5.55m) and ABC (4.48m). Summer-to-date in viewers, CBS (7.26m) leads FOX (6.03m), NBC (5.74m) and ABC (4.99m).
For the week in key demographics, CBS was tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.2/06, with both NBC and FOX) while averaging a 1.6/05 in adults 18-49.
For the week in households, CBS (4.6/09) was +24% ahead of NBC (3.7/07), +31% ahead of FOX (3.5/06) and +53% ahead of ABC (3.0/06). Summer-to-date in households, CBS (4.9/09) has a +29% advantage over both NBC and FOX (3.8/07, each) and a +48% advantage over ABC (3.3/06).
