CBS placed first in viewers for the 12th time in 13 weeks this summer, first in adults 25-54 and a very competitive second in adults 18-49 (just -0.1 from first), in the week ending Aug. 26, week 49 of the 2006-2007 television year.

CBS dominated the week's top 20, claiming the top 10 scripted program with rebroadcasts of CSI, WITHOUT A TRACE, TWO AND A HALF MEN, COLD CASE, CRIMINAL MINDS, CSI: NY, CSI: MIAMI, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, SHARK and NCIS.

Among first-run programming, the Drew Carey-hosted game show POWER OF 10 delivered its best Wednesday ratings in viewers and key demographics and BIG BROTHER 8 continued to hit new highs in key demographics.

For the week in viewers, CBS (6.92m) led NBC (5.96m), FOX (4.68m) and ABC (4.48m). Summer to date, CBS is first in viewers (6.89m) followed by FOX (5.84m), NBC (5.67m) and ABC (4.72m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (2.5/07) and second in adults 18-49 (2.0/06, -0.1 behind NBC). Summer-to-date, CBS and FOX are tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.4/07, each) while CBS and NBC are tied for second in adults 18-49 (1.9/06, each).

For the week in households, CBS (4.7/08) was +24% ahead of NBC (3.8/07) and +57% ahead of both ABC and FOX (3.0/05, each). Season-to-date in households, CBS (4.7/08) has a +24% advantage over NBC (3.8/07), +27% advantage over FOX (3.7/07) and +47% advantage over ABC (3.2/06).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? BIG BROTHER 8 TUESDAY was second in households (4.7/08), viewers (7.30m), adults 25-54 (3.6/09), adults 18-49 (3.1/08) and adults 18-34 (2.6/07). This was the best BIG BROTHER 8 delivery on any night in adults 25-54 and adults 18-34, is the 2nd best ever adults 18-49 delivery and the second best BIG BROTHER 8 TUESDAY delivery in viewers.

? POWER OF 10 was first in households (5.8/10), viewers (8.70m), adults 25-54 (2.8/08), adults 18-49 (2.3/07) and adults 18-34 (1.6/05). This is POWER OF 10's best Wednesday deliveries in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and matches the best Wednesday adults 18-34 performance.

-- POWER OF 10 posted increases at 8:30 PM with gains of +13% in households (6.2/11 from 5.5/10), +15% in adults 25-54 (3.0/09 from 2.6/08), +14% in adults 18-49 (2.4/07 from 2.1/07), +7% in adults 18-34 (1.6/05 from 1.5/05) while adding +1.13m viewers (9.26m from 8.13m, +14%). Compared to last week, POWER OF 10 was up +14% in households (from 5.1/10), +17% in adults 25-54 (from 2.4/08), +15% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/07), +7% in adults 18-34 (from 1.5/06) and added +1.03m viewers (from 7.67m, +13%).

? BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY was first in households (5.1/09), viewers (7.78m), adults 25-54 (3.4/10), adults 18-49 (3.0/10) and adults 18-34 (2.3/08). This is BIG BROTHER 8's best delivery in adults 18-49 and matches the best delivery in households and adults 25-54 on any night and is the second best Thursday delivery in adults 18-34.

-- Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY was up +9% in households (from 4.7/09), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.2/10), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/09), +10% in adults 18-34 (from 2.1/08) and added +270,000 viewers (from 7.51m, +4%).

? BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY was second in households (4.8/08), viewers (7.41m), adults 25-54 (3.2/09), adults 18-49 (2.8/08) and tied for second in adults 18-34 (2.2/07, with FOX) behind NBC's football. Compared to last Sunday, BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY was up +2% in households (from 4.7/08) and added +30,000 viewers (from 7.38m).
