"NCIS" AND "THE UNIT" POST WEEK-TO-WEEK GAINS IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHICS
"NCIS" Leads its Time Period in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 with Double Digit Percentage Gains Over Premiere Week
"NCIS" Delivers Its Largest Audience Since December and Highest Adult 18-49 Rating Since March
"The Unit" Recruits More Viewers Over Last Week and Posts Best Deliveries in Demos Since March
CBS Up Over Premiere Tuesday in Viewers and Key Demos
CBS's NCIS and THE UNIT both posted viewer and demographic increases over premiere week with NCIS winning its time period in all key measures and posting its best viewer delivery since December, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Tuesday, Oct. 2.
NCIS was first in households (10.2/16), viewers (16.26m), adults 25-54 (5.0/13) and adults 18-49 (3.6/10). Compared to last week's season premiere, NCIS was up +16% in households (from 8.8/14), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 4.5/11), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 3.2/09) while adding +2.37m viewers (from 13.89m, +17%).
This is NCIS's best delivery with a first run episode since 2/27/07 in households, 12/12/06 in viewers and 3/20/07 in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
THE UNIT (7.0/10, 11.35m) averaged a 4.2/09 in adults 25-54 and 3.2/08 in adults 18-49. Compared to the season premiere last week, THE UNIT was up +4% in households (from 6.7/10), +8% in adults 25-54 (from 3.9/09), +14% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/07) and added +650,000 viewers (from 10.70m, +6%).
This is THE UNIT's best delivery in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 with a first run episode since 3/20/07.
At 10:00 PM, CANE (6.0/10, 9.24m) averaged a 3.5/09 in adults 25-54 and 2.5/07 in adults 18-49.
For the night compared to premiere week, CBS (7.7/12, 12.28m) posted gains of +3% in both viewers and adults 18-49 (3.1/08) and +2% in adults 25-54 (4.2/10).
Final Tuesday ratings will be available this afternoon.
