Lifetime Movie Network Scores Fourth Straight Month Of Household Gains in
Total Day And Prime
NEW YORK, Jan. 3 -- Lifetime Television, which ranked as
the #1 basic cable network among W18-49 and W25-54 in total day for 2007,
ended the year with a roar! In December prime, the network finished #1
among W18+ while registering its fourth consecutive month of W18-34 prime
ratings growth. For the entire year, Lifetime was up in prime 17% among
W18-34.
Lifetime's December ratings gains were powered by the success of its
holiday programming stunt "Fa La La La Lifetime," which was hosted by
Carson Kressley ("How to Look Good Naked") and Melissa Peterman ("Reba").
Running from December 1 through December 25, "Fa La La La Lifetime" posted
double- digit gains in total day among W18-34 (+20%), W18-49 (+13%) and
W25-54 (+10%), while averaging an audience of 1.7 million P2+, up 12%
versus a year ago.
Leading the ratings charge were the December 8th Lifetime Original
Movie "Lost Holiday: The Jim and Suzanne Shemwell Story," which starred
Jami Gertz and Dylan Walsh (3.6 million P2+), and the December 1st "Holiday
Switch," which showcased Nicole Eggert (3.5 million P2+).
Propelled by its holiday-themed movies, Lifetime Movie Network, the
second most-watched women's network, scored its fourth consecutive month of
household gains in both total day and prime. The network also enjoyed its
highest-rated week of the year (December 24-30) in households, P2+, W18-49
and W25-54.
