CBS PLACES SECOND IN VIEWERS IN AN ATYPICAL WEEK THAT INCLUDED THE SUPER BOWL
CBS placed second in viewers in an atypical week that included the Super Bowl, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Feb. 3, week 19 of the 2007-2008 television season.
For the week in viewers, CBS (6.91m) trailed Super Bowl led FOX (33.55m) and placed ahead of ABC (6.65m) and NBC (6.46m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.18m), ahead of FOX (11.00m), ABC (9.61m) and NBC (8.71m).
For the week in key demographics, CBS averaged a 2.3/05 in adults 25-54 and 1.7/04 in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is second in adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and averaging a 3.1/08 in adults 18-49.
For the week in households, CBS (4.7/07) was -71% behind FOX (16.4/26) and +12% ahead of both NBC and ABC (4.2/07, each). Season-to-date, CBS is first (7.1/12), +9% ahead of FOX (6.5/10), +15% ahead of ABC (6.2/10) and +29% ahead of NBC (5.5/09).
