ALL FOUR OF CBS's MONDAY COMEDIES POST WEEK-TO-WEEK INCREASES IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHICS
"How I Met Your Mother" Places First in Its Time Period in Adults 18-34
"CSI: Miami" Wins Its Time Period in All Key Measures
All four of CBS's Monday comedies posted week-to-week increases in viewers and key demographics, according to preliminary Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 12.
THE BIG BANG THEORY (5.0/08, 7.88m) was second in adults 25-54 (3.5/09), and averaged a 2.9/09 in adults 18-49 and 2.1/09 in adults 18-34. Compared to last week, THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +9% in households (from 4.6/08), +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.4/09), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/09), even in adults 18-34 and added +500,000 viewers (from 7.38m, +7%).
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (5.5/09, 9.02m), featuring a second guest appearance by Britney Spears, was first in adults 18-34 (3.1/09), second in adults 25-54 (4.5/11) and adults 18-49 (3.8/10). Compared to last week, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was up +8% in households (from 5.1/08), +10% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/10), +6% in adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10) +7% in adults 18-34 (from 2.9/09) and added +660,000 viewers (from 8.36m, +8%). This is HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER's best delivery in households and viewers since March 31, 2008.
TWO AND A HALF MEN (8.5/13, 13.70m) was first in adults 25-54 (6.3/14), second in adults 18-49 (5.0/12) and adults 18-34 (3.2/09). TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 6.1/14), +2% in adults 18-49 (from 4.9/12), +7% in adults 18-34 (3.0/08), even in households and added +90,000 viewers (from 13.61m, +1%) compared to last week.
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (6.7/10, 10.72m) was second in adults 25-54 (5.0/11) and adults 18-49 (4.1/10). Compared to last week, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was up +3% in households (from 6.5/10), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.9/11), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/09) and added +330,000 viewers (from 10.39m, +3%).
CSI: MIAMI was first in households (9.0/15), viewers (13.66m), adults 25-54 (4.9/12), adults 18-49 (4.0/10) and adults 18-34 (2.7/08).
For the night, CBS (7.3/11, 11.44m) was second in adults 18-49 (4.0/10), adults 18-34 (2.7/08) and tied for second in adults 25-54 (4.8/11).
