"TORI & DEAN: HOME SWEET HOLLYWOOD" FINISHES AS MOST WATCHED & MOST CLICKED SEASON IN OXYGEN & OXYGEN.COM HISTORY
NEW YORK - August 13, 2008 - "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" season three averaged a 1.0 coverage rating and logged more than 21 million page views, making it Oxygen's highest rated, most watched and most clicked season of an original series ever across all key demos. Last night's finale topped off the season with a 1.4 household rating; while Oxygen.com saw an increase of 61% in the week leading up to the finale. This hit series is the first to complete a season under Oxygen's new on-air look and "Live Out Loud" brand.
This season's ratings are double the average of the second season, and it surpassed the network's prior most-watched season ("The Bad Girls Club" season two) by 36%. Compared to the full season two average, "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" season three was up 99% on P18-49 (averaging 659,000), 104% for W18-49 (527,000), 65% among W18-34 (275,000) and 124% for total viewers (904,000).
"Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" scored some key milestones this season, propelling it to Oxygen's top series spot. Last week's episode was the highest rated and most watched telecast in network history. Last night's finale was one of three episodes this season that drew in over a million viewers. With an 1.4 coverage rating, last night's finale pulled in 932,000 P18-49, 751,000 W18-49, 343,000 W18-34 and 1.3 million total viewers. For the hour, Oxygen was the number two cable network for W18-49. The episode featured the premiere of Tori & Dean's "So In Love" music video. The campy, fun music video features the duo paying homage to June Carter/Johnny Cash, Lucy/Desi, Sonny/Cher and Courtney Love/Kurt Cobain.
Oxygen.com saw increases this season thanks to the popularity of "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood." July was Oxygen's best digital month ever due in large part to the series. The show's site has logged over 21 million page views since the season premiere. In the week leading up to last night's episode, page views totaled 5.2 million and video streams totaled 423,000, up 161% compared to last week.
As part of Oxygen's new multiplatform strategy, "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" is the network's first interactive series, featuring live voting in every episode. Exclusive content featured on the show's website includes photo galleries, games, and the bOnus act, an additional scene only available to digital and wireless users. Additionally, the network's content is delivered to 186 universities nationwide reaching over 4.5 million students. In New York City, 4,500 taxis stream Oxygen content, reaching over 4 million riders a month.
