'Eureka' Takes Surprising Turn This Week with Demise of a Leading Character and the Arrival of Special Guest Star Ever Carradine as 'Lexi Carter'
New York, NY August 18, 2008 Eureka, SCI FI's hit original dramedy starring Colin Ferguson, Salli Richardson-Whitfield and Joe Morton, added to its stellar season 3 premiere numbers with the release of new Live +7 data. Overall the July 29 premiere episode averaged a 2.4 HH rating, 1,606,000 Adults 18-49, 1,776,000 Adults 25-54, and 3,363,000 total viewers.
The episode is now the highest-rated and most-watched episode of any SCI FI original series since the Eureka series premiere on July 18, 2006. In total viewers, it ranks as the 4th most-watched episode of any SCI FI original series ever.
Eureka, a series about a small town of geniuses and the havoc their top-secret work often wreaks, takes a shocking turn in this week with the demise of one of the show's leading characters. The arrival of Allison (Richardson) and Nathan's (Ed Quinn) wedding day coincides with an apparent loop in time, and Sheriff Jack Carter (Ferguson) is baffled that he and only he is reliving Allison's wedding day over an over again. Carter also gets an unexpected extended visit from his free-spirited sister Lexi (guest star Ever Carradine). By episode's end, one of Eureka's heroes will fall.
Eureka also stars Jordan Hinson as Zoe Carter, Erica Cerra as Deputy Jo Lupo, and Neil Grayston as Douglas Fargo.
Co-creator Jaime Paglia and Charlie Craig (The X Files, Brimstone) are Executive Producers and Thania St. John and Bruce Miller are Co-Executive Producers. Eureka is produced by the Universal Cable Productions.
