BURBANK, Calif. - September 23, 2008 - NBC's primetime lineup finished the 2007-08 broadcast year with its seventh consecutive win in adults 18-49 and total viewers, taking the week of September 15-21 with an average 2.9 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49 and 8.3 million viewers overall, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC's seven-week primetime winning streak in adults 18-49 (August 4-September 21, 2008) marks the network's longest consecutive string of weekly wins since a 16-week streak in May-September 2003 (since May 26-September 14, 2003). NBC's seven-week streak in total viewers is the network's longest stay at the top by that measure since a seven-week streak in April-June 2002 (since the weeks of April 29-June 16, 2002).

The "NBC Sunday Night Football" telecast of the Dallas Cowboys at the Green Bay Packers was the #1 telecast of the week in adults 18-49, total viewers, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, all key adult-male demographics, teens and kids. It's the third week in a row "NBC Sunday Night Football" scored the #1 ranking of the week in 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.

Also in the top 10 this week in adults 18-49 was Tuesday's season premiere of "The Biggest Loser" (#8) and Wednesday's "America's Got Talent" (#9). In total viewers, Wednesday's "America's Got Talent" ranked #6 for the week and Thursday's "America's Got Talent" results show ranked #8 (Note: weekly program rankings exclude football post-game and pre-game telecasts).

Primetime averages for the week of September 15-21 in adults 18-49 were NBC (2.9/8), Fox* (2.7/8), CBS (2.1/6), ABC (1.9/5), Univision (1.7/5), CW (1.4/4) and Telemundo (0.5/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were NBC (8.3 million), CBS (7.8 million), Fox* (7.1 million), ABC (5.9 million), Univision (4.2 million), CW (3.0 million) and Telemundo (1.1 million). * Fox's averages are subject to change because of Nielsen adjustments to Fox's Sunday results.

With all 52 weeks of the 2007-08 season counted, NBC has finished the broadcast year #2 in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, behind only Fox. Full 2007-08 season averages in adults 18-49 for the period September 24, 2007 through September 21, 2008 are Fox (3.6/10), NBC (2.9/8), ABC (2.6/7), CBS (2.5/7), Univision (1.5/4), CW (1.0/3) and Telemundo (0.4/1). Sunday's Cowboys-Packers game was up 15 percent in 18-49 rating and 17 percent, or more than 3.1 million persons in total viewers versus the comparable "Sunday Night Football" game last year (a 7.8/20 in 18-49 and 19.0 million viewers overall for the Dallas Cowboys versus the Chicago Bears on September 23, 2007).

From 8:15-8:23 p.m., "NBC Sunday Night Football Pre Kickoff" averaged a 5.7/16 in 18-49, 14.0 million viewers overall and an 8.5/14 in households. Note: "Football Night in America" from 7-7:30 p.m. ET was sustaining programming and does not figure in the nightly or weekly primetime averages.
