Series Up Double Digits vs Season 1
NEW YORK � October 16, 2008 � On Wednesday night at 10pm, the season finale of Destination Truth held its own against stiff competition and scored a 1.3 household rating, 1 million Adults 18-49, 1 million Adults 25-54 and 1.6 million total viewers. Last night's ratings reflect the overall success of the series' second season, which was up in all key demographics versus season 1: household rating (+9%), total viewers (+13%), Adults 18-49 (+15%) and Adults 25-54 (+26%).
Building upon SCI FI's tradition of high-quality, successful reality programming, season 2 of Destination Truth is also the best sophomore performance for a reality series on SCI FI ever, beating the second season of Ghost Hunters in all key metrics: household rating (+9%), total viewers (+10%), Adults 18-49 (+10%) and Adults 25-54 (+19%).
On Destination Truth, host Josh Gates, an archaeologist and recent inductee into the prestigious Explorers Club (an organization dedicated to the advancement of exploration and field research), takes viewers around the world - off the map - in his search for answers to some the world's most notorious unexplained mysteries. Destination Truth is Executive Produced by Brad Kuhlman (1000 Places to See Before You Die, Daisy Does America, FM Nation). Casey Brumels also serves as executive producer.
