ABC's "Dancing with the Stars Recap" built on the previous week's telecast by 1.5 million viewers (11.8 million vs. 10.3 million) and by 14% in Adults 18-49 (2.4/6 vs. 2.1/5).
"Dancing with the Stars Results" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

The penultimate episode won the 9 o'clock hour in viewers, while standing in a near tie for first place in the key adult sales demo (with Fox's "Fringe" 4.1/10). "DWTS Results" led its time period for the 5th consecutive telecast. "DWTS Results" defeated its unscripted competition in the time period, NBC's second hour of "The Biggest Loser: Families," by 9.0 million viewers and by 11% in Adults 18-49 ("Loser" = 8.5 million & 3.6/9 in Adults 18-49). Actor Cody Linley was the ninth celebrity dancer to leave the competition this season.
A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 28% currently, from 21% at the same point in 2007. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
