CBS Wins More Sweep Nights in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 Than Any Other Network

14 Programs Hit Series or Season High Ratings in November

CBS extended its winning streak in viewers to eight consecutive weeks, captured its fourth consecutive weekly win in adults 25-54, week and placed second in adults 18-49 (tie), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 23, week nine of the 2008-2009 television season.

It was record-setting week for CBS comedies as HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, TWO AND A HALF MEN, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE and GARY UNMARRIED delivered their largest audiences of the season. Additionally, WORST WEEK had its largest audience since premiere.

CBS had 6 of the Top 10 programs of the week led by CSI (#2), NCIS (#3), CRIMINAL MINDS (#5), THE MENTALIST (#7), CSI: MIAMI (#8) and TWO AND A HALF MEN (#9).

For the week in viewers: CBS (12.04m), ABC (10.11m), FOX (8.43m) and NBC (7.10m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (12.01m), ahead of ABC (10.63m), FOX (8.18m) and NBC (7.92m).

For the week in households: CBS (7.6/12), ABC (6.4/10), FOX (5.1/08) and NBC (4.5/07). Season-to-date, CBS is first (7.6/12), ahead of ABC (6.8/11), NBC and FOX (5.0/08, each).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08, with FOX). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 and tied with ABC for first in adults 18-49.

With two nights remaining in the November sweep, CBS will place first in viewers for the eighth consecutive November and first in adults 25-54 for the sixth straight November. The race for first in adults 18-49 will come down to the final night of the sweep which concludes Wednesday (26).

November Sweep-to-date (October 30-November 23), CBS is first in households (7.3/12), viewers (11.63m), adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08, -0.2 behind ABC).

-- Monday, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (5.1/12), adults 18-49 (4.2/10), second in households (8.0/12) and viewers (12.68m). This is CBS's best Monday delivery since Sept. 22, 2008 (premiere week) in these measures.

? THE BIG BANG THEORY was second in households (6.1/09), viewers (9.76m), adults 25-54 (4.5/11), adults 18-49 (3.8/10, -0.2 behind ABC) and adults 18-34 (2.7/08, -0.1 behind ABC).

? HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was first in adults 18-34 (3.8/10), tied for first in adults 18-49 (4.4/11, with ABC), second in households (6.1/09), viewers (9.99m) and adults 25-54 (4.8/11). HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER posted season highs in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, matched the season's best delivery in adults 25-54.

? TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in adults 25-54 (6.5/14), adults 18-49 (5.3/12), second in households (9.3/13) and viewers (15.18m). TWO AND A HALF MEN posted season highs in households and viewers, matched the best adults 18-49 performance and scored the best adults 25-54 delivery since the September 22, 2008 premiere.

? WORST WEEK was first in viewers (10.24m), adults 25-54 (3.9/09), second in households (6.5/10) and adults 18-49 (3.2/07). This is WORST WEEK's best delivery in households and viewers since the Sept. 22, 2008 series premiere, best adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 deliveries since Oct. 20, 2008.

? CSI: MIAMI, which broadcast its 150th episode, was first in households (10.1/17), viewers (15.46m), adults 25-54 (5.5/13) and adults 18-49 (4.2/11). This is CSI: MIAMI's best households, viewers and adults 25-54 deliveries since Sept. 22, 2008 (season premiere) and best adults 18-49 performance since Sept. 29, 2008.

-- Tuesday, CBS was first in households (9.5/15), viewers (15.23m), second in adults 25-54 (4.6/11) and third in adults 18-49 (3.2/08). With its regular lineup, CBS has been first every Tuesday this season in both households and viewers.

? NCIS won its time slot in households (10.9/17), viewers (17.99m), was second in adults 25-54 (5.3/13) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09).

? THE MENTALIST was second in households (9.8/15), viewers (15.84m) and adults 25-54 (5.1/11, -0.2 behind ABC).

? WITHOUT A TRACE won its time slot in households (7.8/13), viewers (11.85m), was second in adults 25-54 (3.6/09) and adults 18-49 (2.6/07).

? CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (10.2/16), viewers (16.33m), adults 25-54 (5.8/13) and adults 18-49 (4.2/11). This is CRIMINAL MINDS's best delivery in viewers since the Sept. 24, 2008 season premiere, best households, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 deliveries since Oct. 8, 2008.
