The CBS News Magazine Makes the List of America's Most Viewed Programs
For the Second Straight Week and the Seventh Time in 11 Weeks
60 MINUTES' remarkable season continues with another top-10 finish. It was the second straight week the broadcast finished among Nielsen's 10 most-viewed programs and the seventh time it made the coveted list in 11 weeks.
The CBS News magazine drew 13.79 million viewers to place seventh for the week. 60 MINUTES also finished at number seven in households, scoring an 8.8/14.
60 MINUTES is ranked ninth season to date, averaging 15.81 million viewers. It has been the number-one program of the week two times this season and its hour-long interview with Barack and Michelle Obama on Nov. 16 is still the most-watched primetime program thus far.
Sunday's (7) 60 MINUTES featured a double-length Lesley Stahl report from the oil-rich kingdom of Saudi Arabia about oil production and prices, and Morley Safer's profile of artist-film director Julian Schnabel.
The executive producer of 60 MINUTES is Jeff Fager.
