STORM CHASERS BLOWS THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT
The season finale of Discovery Channel's STORM CHASERS clocked record ratings Sunday night with a 1.7 HH and 1.4 P2+ delivery, ranking it as the night's #1 show in ad-supported cable primetime for Men 18-34. The episode garnered over 3.2 million P2+ viewers.
The strong numbers propelled STORM CHASERS to the highest Sunday night telecast on Discovery, in terms of Persons 25-54 and Men 25-54 delivery, since July 2007. The season finale also averaged the highest delivery of Men 18-34 of any Sunday night telecast on Discovery Channel since PLANET EARTH.
STORM CHASERS has been seen by over 19.3 million P2+ viewers in 4Q08 prime and over 11 million P25-54 viewers.
This second season of STORM CHASERS has experienced season-on-season delivery gains in all key demos including Persons 25-54 (+28%), Men 25-54 (+26%), Men 18-34 (+44%) and P2+ (+26%). The series, which follows teams of storm chasers as they crisscross the Heartland attempting to film and study tornados, also beat its 4Q07 timeslot through the same time period among Persons 25-54 (+68%), Men 25-54 (+70%), Women 25-54 (+63%), P18-49 (+74%), Persons 18-34 (+81%) and P2+ (+46%).
